I've used this for a few years, for making sure my reptiles and amphibians water is safe. I use it in their drinking water aswell as their misters and spray bottles. My animals are all healthy.

For what this product does, it is wonderful and does it well. If I were to recommend, in my position as director of a reptile rescue, a de-chlorinator that removes both chlorine and chloramines from tap water, I would recommend Repti-Safe as the best, as I have done before and after strip tests and it genuinely does lower the level of chlorine and chloramines. So if you are in an emergency and must use tap water for your reptile or amphibians water, then using a de-chlorinator such as Zoo Med ReptiSafe is an absolute must-have. It can and will harm your reptile's health to give them plain untreated tap water for a duration of time, and will most especially harm amphibians who normally have more softer and absorbent skin than reptiles. One should never, ever use tap water with reptiles, especially since they drink from their water and gain humidity from water. Heavy metals, chemicals, and lots of chlorine and chloramines are present in tap water. If you ONLY have tap water in an emergency you can use a de-chlorinator such as Repti-Safe, which will remove chlorine and chloramines as well as some of the chemicals, however it can not remove heavy metals and many others toxins in tap water, which is why distilled water, filtered water (obviously the better the filter the better the water), bottled water, or purified water. Finally, to aid in shedding and to increase humidity for your reptile while adding a wonderful effect use a reptile fogger, specifically the Blue Spotted Deep Jungle Reptile Fogger which works great for our reptile rescue: Deep Jungle Fogger, Advanced Humidifying Fogger For Reptiles & Amphibians In Terrariums & Aquariums! Provides Essential Moisture & humidity For The Well-being Of Your Pet Reptile and Amphibians! but any fogger increases humidity in a more effective way than most of the misters on the market!) In Conclusion, ReptiSafe is a highly recommended product to keep on hand in case you ever need to use tap water in a pinch, however, as mentioned above, ideally one should use purified water of some type for the ideal health of your reptile.

Boudiou je sais pas ce qu'ils foutent dans ce produits mais mes serpenteaux adooooorent, la première fois que je leur ai présenté ça dans de l'eau, ils se sont tous jetés dedans pour boire ou se baigner. J'ai remarqué que peu avant la mue, il était très fréquent que mes gutts, dont la plupart ne se baignaient pas du tout, fassent un petit tour dans l'eau (ce qui m'a valu de réarranger l'un des terras puisqu'il y avait inondation sur inondation, donc j'ai dû retirer une partie du substrat et le remplacer par de la sphaigne bien absorbante, que je change et mets à sécher dès qu'elle est détrempée). C'est en tout cas une superbe découverte, mes serpents adorent !
