R+Co Control Flexible Paste | Strong Hold + Natural Finish| Vegan + Cruelty-Free | 2.2 Oz

I love this product. For reference, I have short pixie hair. It's very fine, but I have a LOT of it. So it's hard to get it to stay up/messy how I want it. I was previously using R+Co's Continental Glossing Wax, which I liked the hold of but obviously it made it glossy, which ended up looking sort of gelled - it served its purpose, but it's not what I was looking for. So when I needed more product, I decided to try this one. I really love it. It gives the same flexible hold, but without making it look like it has product in it. Obviously it makes your hair a little sticky so it stays in place, but not excessively so like other products. And the best part is my hair still looks matte when I use it. Super easy to move my hair around, but stays in place one I have it how I like it and it gives it SOOOOO much volume. I hate hair spray so this is great. Like I said, I have a lot of hair, so it's been hard to find a product that gives me the voluminous messy look while still keeping it matte. So I'm glad I finally found something! It's a little expensive for me, so hopefully it'll last a while. You don't have to use much for it to work, so if you have thinner/less hair than I do I wouldn't worry about using it too fast. But I tend to go through products faster since I have more hair, so we'll see. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this product if it fits your needs!

R+Co Control paste is great for my curly hair. It prevents frizz but doesn't make my hair look like it's been glued to my head :) It looks natural. It has a pleasant but very light scent. It doesn't transfer residue to shirts or pillows. Great product. This is the third container I've purchased, so I have some experience with this product.

Great subtle smell. Applies easily. Doesn’t make your hair too greasy. A good hold but not super strong if that’s what you’re going for. Would definitely buy again.

I have a Bixie cut and this works well for me. I like to put a little bit on my hands and form tips on the ends of my hair. It's pretty similar to the Badlands Dry Shampoo Paste but I actually think that product is better for volumizing and texture. This products works well if you want a little more control and shaping on the hair rather than volumizing. It's not quite a hair gel, it's more of a paste, which is better if you want more of a natural look to your hair. It's less obvious I have product in my hair.

After trying many different brands and types of styling products, I believe I may have found my Holy Grail with this one. My hair changed alot in the last decade, due to stress, hormones, entering middle age, etc. so I needed to update my hair care routine. Control Paste is exactly what I needed and then some. I purchased for taming cowlicks that popped up with a new hair style, but was pleasantly surprised at the volume and thickness I got out of this, too. I also received compliments on how shiny my hair looked after using this. I love that it's a buildable product. I was able to use a good amount without looking greasy. Great smell, not overpowering to my sensitive olfactory system. Nice texture and washes off easily.
