My daughter teaches sped. Many children today are behind on their reading skills. This game is very helpful. She has one child who could not read, the parent is now also working at home teaching sounds etc. This week he read a sentence.

I have been teaching a gentleman in my community to read for the past 9 months, and was looking for something fun and engaging to use in our lessons. Boy did I find it! This game is absolutely awesome. Even for seasoned readers, this game is entertaining. I got my teenage neighbor to test it out with me, and we had a ball. It is like Uno, but using CVC words. I will be making it a part of our lessons on occasion and expect it will really encourage him by helping him see how much progress he's made. Eventually, I hope to get a set for him to play at home with his wife and daughters. I am SO glad I found these wonderful cards. I highly recommend this product!

Pretty fun, but sometimes the games can get long due to vowel/first letter combos. My kid doesn't mind. If you have an easily bored/frustrated kid, this may not work for you

So fun and engaging works on beginning letters and vowel sounds. The two set of cards is nice to have for different levels.

My grandson absolutely loves this game. It's kind of like Uno, very easy to play. You start with five cards and you have to put down a card with either the same vowel sound or the same beginning letter. There are also wild cards that let you change card suits. The kids have to say the word on every card they put down, so it really reinforces their reading and pronunciation. The first player to get rid of all their cards says "I win!" usually followed by "Let's play again! Let's play again!" It's almost like they're being tricked into learning. There are two decks, one for short vowels and one for long vowels, so it's two games in one. Schools should use this game, kids just love it. I like it too, it gives me something fun to do with my grandson and I feel like I'm helping him learn.

My daughter struggles with reading and I was looking for a fun way to play a game and work on it, this game is the perfect one. You can adapt the rules easily and plays very similar to how Uno plays, match the sounds to lay a card. We played 10 rounds the first night we opened it. Because she tends to use pictures for clues to what she is reading, I would hide the picture with my hand and she was still able to pick it up. The box it comes in is nice and sturdy so we can use it to travel and it will not fall apart.
