Bostik All Purpose 50ml - Ultra Strong - Fast Setting

I keep this Bostik very handy in my Kitchen, it is very useful for small repairs and I wouldn't be without it. The drying time is quick and it is easy to apply. It is efficient and has no nasty odours. Would recommend.

I've used Bostik All Purpose for many years now, and it's an excellent all-round glue, that sticks many different types of materials well. In using it in the past, its plus points would include the non-instant grip time of 10 minutes or so, allowing for adjustments if needed, but not waiting for hours for it to grip, and it being transparent, so ideal for all kinds of coloured materials in need of repair. However, they seemed to have changed the formula in some way with this glue. It certainly comes out of the tube faster as it's clearly thinner than before - don't even think about squeezing the tube when first using, or you will end up with a LOT of glue! - and it also seemed to grip significantly faster. I had a drop of glue land on my fingers, and within a few seconds, it was already drying, which seemed surprising considering the tube still insisted on a "10 minute drying time." This certainly wasn't the case in the past, so if you've used this before, it's something you should bear in mind. Minus points? I'm not too enamoured with the faster drying, as it gives less time to adjust and re-position. And if you're looking for a glue that is heat resistant, weather or water proof, or exposed to extreme cold, this isn't for you. (It was never sold with that in mind, either.) However, if you're in need of a general purpose glue that is reasonably strong, clear and sticks a wide variety of materials, this a good glue. Just be aware of that faster flow from the tube, and quicker dry time.

It works!

I've been using Bostik All Purpose Adhesive extra strong for years and it's never let me down. So far I've used it on crystal, glass, ceramics, stone, enamel, clay, foam, wood, feathers, cotton and polyester fabrics and most recently faux leather and not had a problem with any of it. It sticks pretty quickly on flat surfaces on curved surfaces I've had to hold it down for around 5 minutes until it's tacky enough I can let go but that's not a problem and it dries clear and I can paint over it with acrylic paints which is good. I'm creating a cosplay outfit at the moment and I've been using this glue on a few parts of it and it's held everything I need it do. I don't know if it's because of what I'm doing but it doesn't last as long as it used to - I purchased one tube March 18th and used it up yesterday so ordered another today (April 21st) - as I'm not finished there is still a fair bit to be glued together. I'll always have a tube in my craft box you never know when it'll come in handy.

best glue about - just right size to keep in kitchen drawer. Easy to use and bonds well.

Once opened, doesn't keep as long as it used to... probably deliberate, so you have to keep buying more!

Only on tried it on wood so far - as it claims to work on wood- and was definitely ineffective. Might give better results on other surfaces.

Ist ein toller Kleber, er klebt wirklich alles. Ist zwar nicht gerade billig, aber dafür effizient. Ich werde ihn wieder kaufen.

I bought this glue because according to the description it works with fabrics and leather and other materials and I needed to stick patches on a leather jacket. It dried quickly and the patches fell off at the first touch. As for me absolutely useless - wasting of money
