Had read that putting it on to a metal surface is good so, being in the kitchen
May 2015 update. Had this since October 2014 and have used it all over the UK when caravanning. Never failed to get a good picture, far easier than the caravan aerial, not having to point in the transmitter direction and gets better reception. At Coniston Caravan Club site this last weekend and found it gave better reception and as least as many channels as the site bollard boosting connection. Going to but another one for my laptop in the study so I can watch/record TV. Bought this thinking at this price I've nothing to lose. Connected it up in the kitchen to an Avtex L187DRS TV which we use for our camping trips, no signal. Had read that putting it on to a metal surface is good so, being in the kitchen, I placed it (as you do) on an empty olive oil tin! Instant picture and good quality. Then took TV and aerial out to our VW California camper-van and plugged the TV into 12 volt socket for power and put the aerial onto the windscreen pillar. Powered up and immediately got good quality pictures on all the channels. Looking forward to trying it out in anger, as they say, but so far it looks like a very good acquisition and at this price a steal. Amazon more than usual great service, Ordered at 1:00 pm Saturday arrived following day, Sunday, at 10:30 am and this was on First Class delivery/ two working days. Well done.

STRONG SIGNAL
Great product , i installed it up in the loft and scanned for first install ,it found twelve more Channels than my previous TV Aerial and it`s Quarter the size of my previous one .The picture is nice and clear without any break up and the High Defintion Channels look amazing This is well worth a Tenner, but remember the higher up it is mounted or placed the better the picture will be!.. Heres a tip for you ,get hold of a Biscuit tin lid or one of those metal ones used for Roses Chocolates and place the Magnetic base on it then mount it as high up in your attic/loft as you can ,it makes the signal even stronger and clearer

Excellent Little Product.
Having just received this aerial I was rather sceptical about it's abilities. Having plugged it in to the spare TV in the bedroom I was very surprised at the reception, it's very good. I live in a downstairs flat which is on a slight hill and at the back there are houses and trees, I have Sky in the living room and sometimes the further up the channel list I go the weaker the signal gets especially in bad weather, I tried with this aerial going one by one up the channel list expecting the same with it but to my surprise there was no problem, it may have taken a couple of seconds to catch the signal and tune inbut the picture and sound were very good. I have only given four stars as the weather today is fairly good so I'm reserving judgement until I test it in bad weather. Over all I'm pleased with it and for the price it's great, I ordered Saturday and it arrived Monday so that is a great plus. The only thing I can't really understand is why they have attached a magnet to the bottom, the only large metal surface I have at home, and I think most other people have is the sink and I don't think many people would want to attach it there.

Better with metal coatthanger.
This aerial is a complete waste of money. It did not tune into any channels. I live about 5 mile from the main transmitter. And I even sat it in the room window as suggested with no result. Throw it in the bin. .

Brilliant freeview.
I was looking for an aerial to get some good reception due to our home being in a dip and hard to recieve any good signal plus the aerial roof had broke. So I found this little beauty. After arriving so quick I set up within a few seconds and searched for some channels via the set up box. I was sceptical that it would find nothing due to the poor reception. But to my delight it came up with over 100 channels. The quality is great and now we can watch TV in the back room while someone watches TV in the front room. It is a nice little aerial, easily can be hidden and still will work great. The length of the cable on the aerial of which you connect to the tele is a good length maybe could be made longer but no issue for us. If it needed to be longer you can always buy a coax extender cable. Overall this cable is great and I would recommend to everybody. I am very pleased with the seller. Exceeded my expectations. Thanks.

Ok but you can get better but probably not for as little money!
From my house I can see Emley Moor tv tower which is one of the biggest transmission masts in the country so I definitely live in a strong signal area. The tv I used it with has worked perfectly with an unamplified portable aerial specifically designed for digital tv that was easy to buy many years ago but now is unavailable it seems. This aerial looks the most like my existing one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/1byone%C2%AE-Digital-receiver-Freeview-Signals/dp/B00RCOJ9ZE/ref=sr_1_65?ie=UTF8&qid=1438691815&sr=8-65&keywords=digital+tv+aerial Unplugging my old one and plugging in this I immediately noticed picture break-up so it is less sensitive certainly. Putting it on top of a radiator as suggested fixed that and I could then receive all channels without problems, not bad for a fiver delivered. So if you're living in a high-strength signal area and happen to have a radiator near the telly you're wanting to use it on you should be ok, if not then you may need something else. I'll try it with a metallic sweet or biscuit tin lid another time and see if that does the job as well as the radiator!

Excellent Buy
This is probably the best indoor Freeview aerial I have bought. Over the years I've used many different types and brands for the TV in the bedroom and this seems to be the most reliable in terms of keeping the signal. A lot is down to positioning and it pays to move it around to find the best place to put it. I live in an area that has very good reception so I obviously can't comment on how it would work in areas where the reception isn't so good. I like the magnetic base. It's very strong and means you can position the aerial in places others wouldn't have gone which helps to find the best spot for optimal signal. Good price. I would happily buy again if needed in the other rooms.

Kullanmaya başladım ancak belirtildiği gibi kanalların görüntü kalitesi olarak extra bir şey katmadı. Normal bir antelle de bu kadar zaten görüntü kalitesi alıyorum.
