De'Longhi Capsule HFX30C18.IW Ceramic Fan Heater - White

Love this. Stylish and really warm. Use it daily in my office.

I bought this product around a month ago and I'm pretty happy with it. It's ideal to keep your feet warm if you put it under a desk. like the fact that it has a handle so you can move it around easily. It is a bit noisier than I expected (kind of like a blow dryer in a low setting) however I only turn it on for a few minutes, so it doesn't bother me much, if I was planning to use it for long periods of time then the noise would be annoying.

Very small heater.useful for a small place

These throw out a decent amount of heat and look good in any room. Now purchased two. Offer good value and do the job.

I use electric for heating the upstairs and i had one of the older black de longhi ceramic fan heaters 1200w-1600w. But this new one brown and white is 1200w - 1800w. On the bottom setting 1200w which is setting 1 it performs noticably worse than the older model despite both using 1200w on setting 1. I feel where as my old model setting 1 1200w was fine this one requires setting 2 1800w for the same warmth. I suspeced they cut down on the quality of the actual inner heatsink likely cutting down on copper or something for a cheaper less heat conductive metal and when i looked into the unit with a torch i could see they used a silver type metal instead of copper this would explain the poor performance of the units.

I've been using this heater for about a year now, to heat a room in my house that doesn't ever get warm from the central heating. Today I turned it after using it, but soon started to smell a burning smell, so I checked the heater, and it seemed the switch wasn't fully in the "0" position. As it turns out, this means the heat element is still heating silently, even though the fan has stopped. If I hadn't noticed this, there would be a very real chance of fire. My heater definitely smelled too hot to be safe, and I've now unplugged it, but I'm concerned that this is even possible, and doubly concerned about the fact that the heater didn't turn itself off due to overheating.

Promptly delivered, works well, small, useful carry handle

Way more powerful than it looks and much smaller than the cheap ones I've had before. Can't heat a concert hall, definitely helps in a wintery bedroom though. Seems solid, but lacks some basic safety features (you can knock it over and it will stay on)
