Vivid Arts XRL-KEST-D Kestrel Standing on Tree Trunk Ornament

I bought this as a gift for a friend of mine who loves Kestrels, its a female and very lifelike, smaller than life size but the detail is brilliant. Came very well packaged too . Can't wait to give this to him in the new year.

Beautiful and Life size. I bought the peregrine falcon, the sparrow hawk and the bald headed eagle ( which is half size, I believe) as well. Very happy !

This kestrel statue works! I have been at my wits end with the squadron of sparrows that bombard my patio perched over my fence on a daily basis (first world problems..... I know). The damage has been devastating over the past year with my cedarwood fence being pasted white from their deadly payloads. Every effort to thwart their attacks failed. I tried anti-bird spike strips, the sparrows sat with their tiny feet between the spikes mocking me from afar chirping even louder than usual. Reflective Anti-bird tape was the next step but yet again the mighty sparrows were un-phased and returned in greater numbers and continued to dive bomb the patio even more ferocity! I thought the battle was lost. That was until I did my research and stumbled across a few articles regarding bird of prey statues that scare smaller birds off. The more realistic it looks the more effective it is. I bought this kestrel and it is sturdy and fairly heavy and looks extremely realistic. Since placing it on the fence the daily sparrow garden poo-party has ceased as they have retreated back to their nests. Victory has been assured! Please note, I tried placing the Kestrel on a table lower than the fence and a few sparrows sat and watched warily but since placing it up high on the fence there have been no sparrows or pigeons for over a week. I only pity the next neighbourly victim who will have to endure the daily blitz of the sparrow poo-party!

great addition looks great

I bought this to try to distract the 'pesty, greedy pidgeons' from my garden, as I have so many beautiful garden birds that come to visit ! However it DID NOT DISTRACT them, so I've put in my display cabinet and it's looks lovely & so real !

Nice addition to my Vivid Arts collection. Have placed it indoors at the moment. May find a home for it in the garden in the summer. Might touch up the colour of the tree stump around the birds legs / talons as they are both very similar and you can't distinguish the legs / talons very well as a result. Have now touched up the colour of the stump with a slightly darker shade of modelling brown paint which matches the stump well and defines the birds leg (only one leg on show) and talons much better.

I have now bought 5 of these models the fifth is the kestrel and the realism is amazing.I am surrounded by nature where I live but these models are unbelievably true to life that.I am tempted to add to my coiiection.
