Riveting book for a toddler

I gave this as a gift to a friend's almost two and half year old. They immediately wanted it read to them and gave it their full and serious attention, taking in all the rhymes and the pictures. They began to smile, their eyes shone, a smile spread across their face and then they dissolved into giggles. We read it three times in a row and the laughter and smiles increased with each reading. Great fun and very enjoyable

Makes kids laugh

This book is about more than just the elephant taking a ride on a bus, lots of zoo animals are included and each has its own two pages with a four line rhyme. Preschool age kids will love all these animals, but I think the snazzy illustrations stop it looking to babyish so the book will appeal to younger primary school kids too. My kids laugh at the animals expressions. We have this for a long time now. My kids are currently four and six and they ask for it fairly regularly, I also think this is the kind of book that will grow with us.
