Acctim "Ingot Travel Alarm Clock, Silver, Mini

This is the kind of simple, functional quartz alarm clock that has been around for years. This one is good value, with clear numerals and hands, a very quiet tick which I can't hear from more than a few inches away, and a light for a quick look in the dark. No silly digital controls. On the back, knobs set time and alarm time, and you switch the bleeping alarm on and off on top of the clock. The AA battery is included, and to top it all, the supplier got it to me in its strong plastic packaging less than 24hr after my order . . . on Xmas Eve!

Tiny clock, 2" x 2", it's made with fairly thin plastic and don't think it would survive being dropped. The alarm would probably wake you up if you place the clock near to you and as long as you aren't a heavy sleeper. The tick is fairly, but not overly loud in my opinion, (which is the reason I bought it as I can't sleep in a silent room) but it's a slow tick, once per second. I prefer a manual key wound clock for a faster tick-tock sound as that makes me sleep a lot better, but key wound clocks are expensive and not so easy to find for sale nowadays. This little one is a reasonably low price and seems to keep accurate time. All in all, personally it's better for me than sleeping in a completely silent room, plus handy to have if you're going on holiday for example or need a hospital stay - in a private room of course! Added comment: The clock DOESN'T keep good time, loses up to 2 hours a week and I can't see any way to adjust it.

I bought this clock for my bathroom as the previous one kept stopping. This clock is quiet, easy to read and good value for money. I don't intend to use it for travelling, or for the alarm feature so that's why I've only given one star for that feature. This doesn't mean the clock isn't good for those applications.

Tiny but easily placed.

Cheap & flimsy. Not 'Acctim' as shown but 'Bentima' on clock face. The buttons fall off the back & it has a very loud tick. I will be despatching it to the bin!

This was ordered to replace a similar one which is slightly bigger and is working well. However, as the original item is about 50 years old the new item, I don't think, will last anywhere near as long.

I've had this little guy for years.... and he STILL works perfectly fine. He has so far only eaten five batteries too so if you buy one, you know you won't have to feed him too much. Light weight, pretty durable as long as you don't throw them about and great travel companions. If you are looking for a cheap little Table Top Alarm... you could definitely do a lot worse than this. Highly recommend!
