We have this product supplied in chunks for easy weighing and melting. Criollo cocoa has a very intense flavour and when combined with cocoa butter and a sweetener of choice this will produce a wonderful single origin chocolate. These 100% cocoa chunks can be also enjoyed as they are for an intense bitter cocoa treat. We eat them with dates for a quick, improvised, sweetened criollo cocoa treat. For those wanting a pure cocoa product with no added sweeteners for baking or indeed making homemade chocolate this is perfect. Contains no dairy, soya, sugar this product is simply 100% cocoa solids in chunk form. It is available in 500g,1kg, 2kg, 4kg & 8kg quantities. A note on the difference on cocoa and cacao - there is none! Raw food marketers unfortunately promote the idea that cocoa is roasted and processed while cacao is raw and super y. In Europe we have a cocoa industry, trading cocoa beans and cocoa products. Elsewhere they trade in cacao.
