Golden Fox Men's Romeo Chelsea Comfortable Pull-On Boots

I have been wearing this type of elastic ankle boots for 20 years. I travel internationally and when the shoes have to come off for TSA the slip on boots fill the ticket. I have worn many boot suppliers like Dr Martens, Ariat, Skechers, Eastland, I’ve had them all with great results over the years. These boots arrived today. I was pleased to find true top grain heavy leather, sewn on soles and a nice inner material that lets your socks slide into the boots. The finger loops are big enough to accept my large fingers to pull the boots on. You can see and feel the quality in these Golden Fox boots. Once pulled on, the boots feel a slight bit wider than some of the other brands that I mentioned. The sizing is true to just slightly bigger on my feet, but in a good way for slip on boots. The insole has a thicker heal cushion. The boots feel GREAT, I am very pleased with my purchase, and must recommend this brand. Even the packaging shows the quality of the product that rests inside. This is one of those times you just know you have bought something good. These Are Not safety toe boots, but have a robust solid shaped toe. Time will tell if these will stand up to my multiple pairs of Ariat Spot Hogs that just keep on going even though the leather is beat to a pulp.

I've owned multiple pairs of the Enzo chukka by G.F. and think they're a great value. I wanted to try these for the ease of slip-ons, so most of my review will be comparing those 2 boot styles. Differences 1) Sole: These have a less cushiony sole than the Enzo. Still very comfortable. I'll be interested to see how they do for traction on smooth wet surfaces like tile, because once the Enzos got broken in (3-4 months), they did not have good tractions. 2) Insole: Enzos have an insole with a big cushion that goes onto your arch. I love that as I have high arches. These don't have that big cushion, so I'll be taking the Enzo insole and putting it into these. 3) Inner Lining: These have a typical mesh cloth inner lining, like what I'd expect in a running shoe. The Enzos have a pig skin lining. In my Enzos, the thing that actually wore out was that inner lining, I'd eventually just wear through it at the heel. Too early to tell if these will be longer lasting. 4) Height: The Enzo comes up just past my round ankle joint, this boot comes at least 2 inches higher up my leg. This probably adds some good stability/snugness for the slip-on style. Similarities 1) Color: This 'Brun' color looks really similar to the Enzo. 2) Fit: I've had to downsize 1 to 1.5 sizes for G.F. boots. I buy a 9.5 in this but wear a 10.5/11 in most of my other shoes. However, the fit has been consistent across these two styles. Both are comfortable for my medium-wide feet. Overall I've been happy so far. The elastic at the ankles seems tough enough to last and they're super comfortable.

For casual everyday shoe, the comfort and quality is sufficient. I believe they are more comfortable than the Georgia boot equivalent. For years my favorite boot was the British made Dr. Marten's, but it got hard to find the British made ones, so I stopped trying to find and also as I got older the price became more than I want to pay anymore. I have been looking for a decent casual/dress boot and my research led me to RoseAnvil's YouTube channel, where Golden Fox got good reviews. While not a super stellar review it was balanced with praise for the construction (A true Goodyear welt) and the price, I could not go wrong and I did not. I wore that very day to do a talk wearing a suit and standing I had no discomfort at all. I am sure there will still be some break-in to do, but so far so good. Looking at getting a Motoe from this brand soon.

Absolutely great boots, very well made and very good looking. Ok, I know they have a plastic welt but at 119.00 dollars what would anyone expect? Why would anyone pay 80.00 to resole a 119.00 pair of boots anyway? I very much recommend these at this price range.

I paid approximately $60 around 10 months ago. Now they're nearly double. I don't know what that's all about, but it might still be worth it. Before it was an absolute steal. They're the most comfortable work shoes I've had, and I've been wearing moc-toe thorogoods for almost 10 years prior. Only problem I've had, was the side seam blew out a few months ago. I left it as is, until I got annoyed by snow getting into the side of my shoes! I stitched it shut using the same holes they used, and some thicker thread. It was tedious, but I should get more time out of these shoes now. Not sure why they don't triple stitch it, or use heavier thread, but it's concerning. Many other reviews share this concern. Aside from that, they're wonderful.

they are a great boot , they do come a little wider , which is what I needed. fit good , light weight , no noise when waling on flat surfaces. (nice)

Love these boots! I need to preface with the fact that I do not work in manual labor so I cannot attest for their durability as work boots, but can say that they are perfect for day to day, up on your feet type wear. I have wider feet and normally wear a size 38 EU/7.5 women’s and the size 6 in these were perfect. The tabs on my he front and back make putting them on a breeze. I bought these in place of the Breaking Hearts and Burning Rubber Utah boots as the price point was much better and am very happy with my decision!
