Borges & Scott Panama Hat Travel Tube Brown

Before ordering this, I had thought about just getting a normal cardboard poster tube from the post office and cutting it a bit shorter to accommodate my panama hat (also from Tumi - brilliant by the way). Then my wife asked me how I intended to cut the tube so the end was completely straight to make sure the cap still fitted... I hadn't thought of that, so I ordered this one to save me the hassle. Thing is, this tube is exactly the right width and length to keep my hat safe and squash free in my suitcase. It's wider than a normal poster tube, so wont have to fold the hat overly tight, and the plastic ends are of much better quality, so will endure being repeatedly opened and closed over a period of time. The cardboard itself is also thinker than a poster tube, so will stand up to being regularly packed and unpacked, sat on and kicked about by baggage handlers the world over! Given it's price and purpose, this is actually one of the best value for money items I've ever bought!! Also arrived 2 days before shortest estimated delivery date which was great. Buy with confidence!

A nice hat. Very comfortable, light and well made. A stylish product that I was very happy with. Unfortunately I have sent it back as size was too small and they not have a larger size. So much for having to large a head!

I bought this to go with my Tumi Fino foldable Panama hat and it is perfect. I am just back from a trip in which I only carried hand luggage and this hat tube with my precious Tumi hat inside fitted nicely in my bag. Some reviewers have said its a bit big and its certainly not tiny but I don't agree its too big and what it means is you don't have to roll the hat up too tightly which helps it recover its shape after. After both flights the hat was fine and a quick steam from the kettle made it perfect. It just wouldn't work without the tube, so its money well spent. The tube is sturdy and gives good protection and I think you would have to deliberately try and damage it before the hat inside would be compromised. Very pleased.

Larger than expected but still a must have to keep my panama hat neatly stowed away in my suitcase whilst travelling abroad. When holidaying in UK I don't bother using this, just put my hat on back seat of car so its handy, or carry it. When at home I keep my hat in the box it was delivered in with some tissue paper screwed up in the crown to keep it in shape. When taking the tube on holiday to foreign shores, I put the hat over a lamp shade if there is one big enough in our room just to give the crown a helping hand to unfurl itself although it will do it itself, eventually if hat is left on a flat surface. A must to keep your hat clean and un damaged whilst travelling abroad.

It's a cardboard tube, bit difficult to 'rate' 🤣...But as usual, it says "handed to customer" ....no it's not, it's chucked in the doorway, and the driver clears off without knowing if anyone was in or not🙄

very strong and efficient, but the panama hat, rolled as instructed, would not go back to its' original shape after being in the tube for less than a minute, which was disappointing.

Suitable for rollable hats, however, I wouldn’t use it for Panama hats. They’re too sensitive and the fibers may break by folding or rolling.
