I usually buy them two at a time and keep one in the parts bin. That’s not because they’re junk, it’s because of how much abuse they see in racing. Hard landings, constant steering input, and crashes will eventually take anything out. Performance-wise, these hold up well. Steering is consistent, no weird glitches, and they do exactly what you need them to do on track. I’ve had good reliability overall, but when they do fail, it’s usually sudden — and that can end your race day quick if you don’t have a spare. At the price point, it just makes sense to keep an extra on hand. For me, this is one of those “consumable” parts in RC racing. Pros: Direct OEM fit for Mini-B Handles racing abuse well Consistent steering performance Affordable enough to keep spares Cons: When they fail, they fail without warning Not a “lifetime” part under racing conditions Bottom line: If you’re racing a Mini, don’t just buy one — buy two. Having a spare in your pit box can save your race day. Review: rc car - works in my grom typhon. ## Features - 20T Spline, Micro Servo - Full metal gear drive train - Includes additional 4 inch extension - 41.8oz-in torque rating @6v - 0.08 sec/60° speed @6v ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0BG5Y9XTN | | Additional Features | Portable | | Age Range Description | Kid | | Best Sellers Rank | #75,131 in Toys & Games ( See Top 100 in Toys & Games ) #56 in RC Servos | | Brand Name | Spektrum | | Color | Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 207 Reviews | | Educational Objective | 1 | | Included Components | SX108 Micro Gear Servo | | Item Dimensions | 4 x 2.25 x 0.57 inches | | Item Type Name | Servos | | Item Weight | 18.14 g | | Manufacturer | Spektrum | | Manufacturer Part Number | SPMSSX108 | | Manufacturer recommended age | 14 years and up | | Material Type | Plastic | | Model Name | SX108 Micro Gear Servo | | Model Number | SPMSSX108 | | Number of Batteries | 1 Nonstandard Battery batteries required. | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Number of Players | 1 | | Operation Mode | Remote Control | | Power Source | Battery Powered | | Size | 4 inches | | Theme | train | | Toy Vehicle Form | Train | | UPC | 605482167267 | ## Images ![Spektrum SX108 Micro Gear Servo, SPMSSX108 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/514RgMOu0NL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid OEM Replacement, Keep a Spare *by C***S on April 14, 2026* Spektrum SX108 Micro Gear Servo SPMSSX108 – Solid OEM Replacement, Keep a Spare Running these as OEM replacement servos in my Losi Mini-B, and if you race these cars you already know — these little servos take a beating.
