This book has taught me to play the piano much easier than on YouTube. I am a complete beginner to learn any music and I am 62, but this book is so easy and I play every day. I will definitely buy more, thanku so much.

I am all fingers and thumbs, which should be good for the piano right...... hmmm... This really is a beginner guide - very steady introduction finger by finger, so great. Now if only I could count and find the keys at the same time! I am enjoying learning, and this is a useful book to get me going.

Yes, it’s for absolute beginners, and yes it is a useful guide in this respect, taking you from the absolute basics, helps to understand reading sheet music, teaches you the notes, using both hands to play, and has a few very simple songs included. But it is a very short book, and the progress of the lessons seem to end very abruptly, and leave you sitting there thinking - well what next? The book is easy to understand, will get you playing basic notes and tunes, but will only take you a little way into learning keyboard or piano. So yes, it is good as an absolute beginners guide, but will only teach you as far as the absolute basics.

I have learnt the odd song on piano previously but I’ve never learnt any of the technical parts about hand positions and have never read bass clef before, only treble. This book was really great for gradually building up the movements and timing, the only thing I would say that is that it is very short and it took me only a couple of days to complete it and be able to play the songs. It is a good book though, and I would recommend it as it has good explanations and is easy to follow

My 6-year-old granddaughter had no interest in the new piano at her house until I sent her this very basic booklet. She is now turning the pages as she discovers how to teach herself some notes until the parents find a music teacher. This is a first book as it is very simple for hands and fingering with some help for reading from the parents.
