I bought the UDMP years ago with using Unifi Protect in mind. When my trusty old Piper NV packed in recently, I took the plunge. So far it has been good, with only some minor reliability issues when trying to remote in on 4G. A ticket is with Ubiquiti for that. I have it set to alert me on movement only when I'm outside a geofenced area. That works well. I am able to respond to the alert and (95% of the time) download that clip. That 95% needs to be better to recommend this as a complete security system. If a savvy robber breaks in, if he rushes to the router to unplug it, I may not have time to defeat the connection issues and download the clip before I am off-line. The setup and software UI are problem-free. It adopted with no issues. It does however require a strong Wi-Fi signal. In my office where the camera is deployed it was saying it had a 60% signal. With this I was getting it frequently dropping on and off the network. All other WiFi equipment in my office was working fine. The old camera worked flawlessly in the same location for years. I had to upgrade the WiFi upstairs to remedy it. Will add a second camera if/when Ubiquiti address the seemingly random nature of remote connection.

If you're selling to the UK, please make sure you put a UK 3 pin plug in the box. Luckily i have a spare.

As the description. Was expecting a USB power supply for the UK market. This needs to be running all the time, and I'm not happy with the physically unstable Euro adaptor that was supplied. No mention of this in the description.

Hi , just opened the box and only a European plug supplied . I could plug into my 2 pin shaver socket but did not want to have cctv in bathroom ,my wife is not so into it

Adopted into my Unifi system and updated to latest firmware. Had this outside in the rain for about a week now and it works great, really good value for money when compared to everything else on the market.

I turned the night vision off because it’s behind a window. Thanks too the streetlights the image is reasonably lit at night and no ghosting. People who are getting by are not really that clear to see but the image is better than my eufy camera’s could offer. And when it’s day it gets better and much sharper. Placing them outside and with IR turned on would make night vision very good. But that’s no option for me. I’m really happy with this product. One downside. I have an AIport connected to the instant g4 and although in theory it should give me LPR, that’s not working. Other triggers like face recognition are optional but I haven’t tried it yet. The product is reliable and nice to see.

Amazing clarity, absolutely simple set up (I do have a UniFi router), and an all around excellent camera. We are using it to monitor our new puppy in his crate, and as I said, the picture is amazing. I highly recommend this camera for functionality, ease of setup and use (you just download the app), and image quality.

Ubiquiti is the only way I go these days, have 3x G3's and now this one - and perfectly happy with the quality, integration, functionality, mounting hardware, all of it, even the packaging. great camera. be aware if you're buying in UAE, this comes with a Euro-style 2 prong power brick.
