Original selections
These Masterwork books are wonderful. If you are looking for original material, these fit the bill. Book 1-2 is about second or third year piano. Book 3 is year 3-4. My students really like the pieces. Some are easy but others are more challenging. Good fingering and clear print.

Great. Maps to Piano Adventures Level 2A level student. CD useful for car rides.
My nine year old son is in Piano Adventures Level 2A and we have been using this Masterwork Classics Level 1-2 book as classical repertoire as we're putting my son on a classical track for piano. It's perfect, not too hard for a Level 2A student. Text is large and clear and about one page each. Absolutely perfect, and I bought about eight early repertoire books, most of which I returned. The other great Level 2A repertoire book is Pathways to Artistry - Masterworks Book 1 by Catherine Rollin, in case anyone is interested. (I don't have any connection to either of these books, I'm just a homeschooling mother.)

Good Start for Adult Piano
This book has lots of real compositions from the masters that are great for adult beginners. Some are easy, and some are more difficult. Provided a good introduction to classical piano. My teacher uses this series a lot.

Good for a reading supplement for beginners which is what ...
Not as varied with keys mostly C and G major alberti base pieces. Good for a reading supplement for beginners which is what I'm using it for. You may need to adjust some unnecessary bigger chord inversions in the LH for smaller student hands.

A Must For the Beginner!
I'm teaching myself how to play piano and am using this series along with the Adult Alfred's Course. I absolutely love this book. I was frustrated with the pieces in my lesson books because they sounded like dumb downed versions of the original. These pieces are outstanding and are very clear as to the fingering (always helpful when you're a beginner!). The CD that comes with it is spot on and very helpful. I'm looking forward to progressing with these books.

Good for sight reading practice.
My teacher recommended this for sight reading practice. The pieces are easy enough that you can get through them quickly (I'm considered an intermediate piano student) , but still stretch your skill level for fingering and dynamics. The arrangements are done well and are suitable for public play if you like to entertain.

Great for piano lessons
Purchased this book by our piano teacher recommendation for my 8 years old son. He actually likes this book better then one we were using before for his lessons. This is his second year of taking piano lessons. We did not use CD yet, but it is great that he can actually listen few times how piece should sound... for now his teacher shows him that.

Excellent
This book is great because it is easy to teach history of music as well as a variety of styles and the best thing about it is the large print which is so good for younger pupils.
