The fan is very expensive - but it is a sleek, beautifully made design and it is very quiet, except at its top 10 setting. Yet I prefer to run it at 10, as I need to block out traffic noise, and it does the trick. It is almost like having air conditioning... and a lot cheaper to buy and run than that! Will it start blowing when the plug is switched (back) on?** A: Im afraid is no possible to use a timer switch to turn the fan on blowing. The feedback we have is that the fan needs to be manually turn on on the timer switch kicks in. **Q: best way to clean this?** A: I just wipe it over the outside with a damp cloth that is almost dry. No chemicals added. **Q: the Dyson AM06 can someone tell me the db noise for each setting? with this fan 1 metre away from you, is it to noisy when in quiet room close to you?** A: I'd say 1-7 speed is very quiet. I can sleep with it on 10 in my face in this heat though :-) **Q: Do these have blades?** A: TBH I’m not sure, but looking at the picture it doesn’t look like it! I’ve personally not got one. In 2017 I was in hospital 6 months & the staff looked after me SO well, as they did all the other patients, I wanted to show my appreciation. Since then, I’ve been an inpatient this 2019 in same ward & they told me they keep it in their staff-room & love it. So, sorry, I can’t give a full description! Bought for my son as he sleeps with the fan on. Glad to say to goodbye to old style fan which held on to dust for dear life and whenever you took it apart to clean would never re-assemble in quite the same way, resulting in a rattling old bone shaker of a fan, dusty again within the next week.
