Rowlinson Plumley Set Green Cushions

Less than Half the price of similar products in national DIY & Garden centres, good quality and excellent value for money. Comes well packed, includes seat cushions and is promptly delivered. Already assembled, folding items; none of the horror tales one reads about self-assembly products from certain DIY vendors. A bonus is that everything folds nicely for over-winter storage. Obviously not as sturdy as fixed assembly items but ideal for light everyday usage. Bravo, would recommend.

So far I am impressed. It was delivered ahead of schedule, was well packaged, looks good and seems very well made. It is light for what it is and folds down easily (I put it away after use so these are important features for me). The table was easy to put together. I initially thought the chairs a bit small but they are actually a good fit and very comfortable, the cushions that come with them were an excellent bonus. I'm now waiting for some continuous good weather to really try this out - I'm not saying it's jinxed but it's been mainly rain since it arrived........

I bought this because I was attracted to the price. When it arrived, very carefully and sturdily packaged, I tried one of the chairs and the wood immediately split on one of the legs. (no I am not overweight! ) It looked like a hairline crack along the line of the grain. However, I contacted the seller and to his absolute credit all I had to do was email a picture of the crack and he immediately sent out a new chair, no quibbles, no nonsense. That's proper old school service. Thank-you. The chairs, of course, arrive fully assembled, with four normal ones and two with arms. And green cushions. (Which, if you have a nobbly bottom might feel a bit thin, to be honest...nothing to stop you adding your own) Assembling the table is a bit of a chore if you try it on your own (as I did!) but study the plans carefully and make sure you put the washers in the right place! Once up, and on the patio, it all looked great, it's a good size and can easily accommodate a family. After a few days of lovely autumn sunshine I put mine into storage, using a proper waterproof cover reinforced with straps to prevent it taking off like a parachute in heavy wind. Recommendations? Be aware that for this money you are not getting a hugely sturdy set of chairs which will withstand punishment and harsh treatment. If you want that, be prepared to pay a lot more. So, go easy on them....leaning back on them or Uncle Harry flopping down his 18 stone frame into them will almost certainly end in tears. When it arrives, it feels and smells like it has been freshly stained, so if you can give it a few days in the sun to dry out properly, so much the better. If you don't, and it rains, some of the stain might come off onto your patio, so just use the cardboard from one of the packing cases to act as a temporary mat underneath them. I would say that if you look after the table and chairs, they ought to give good service. The proof will come next year, when I remove the protective cover and start to use them through what I hope will be a beautiful spring and summer. I'll let you know! We are really pleased with this garden furniture. It looks nice, seems quite sturdy and the addition of the seat cushions were a really nice bonus. When it arrived one of the table legs were broken but the company were brilliant. They responded quickly and a replacement part arrived within a few days, despite everything going on with the lockdown. We cannot fault them.

Wow! Fab value for money. The set looks classy and the added bonus if the cushions really help. I really do like the little gold plaques that also add to the feel of good quality. I’m a middle aged woman and decided to assemble it myself while I was waiting my partner. It was tricky and two sets of hands would have made it much easier. That said it was my fault and it was obvious how to assemble. I’ve yet to use it outside, so wear and tear is something I can’t comment on, but thoroughly recommend it to date.

This product arrived with a price of the solid wood underneath detached from the main bench. I had to buy some wood glue and screws to return it to it's state meant for purpose. On inspection it was easy to spot what caused this issue as 4 screws were missing from the intended screw holes. After I bought the glue and screws and reassembled the bench it seems to be a nice piece of garden furniture. One other thing about the bench that could be improved would be to send the product pre assembled as I may have struggled if I was an older or less able customer.

The company that made this is the same one I had from 20 years ago that ive only just replaced now. I did little with the old set it just lasted. This seems very similar in build quality and material so I hope it lasts as long. Thank you Rowlinson and the seller.

Do yourself a favour and don’t buy this product and don’t buy from this seller. The product is not good quality, we’ve had 3 chairs break within 4 months. With normal usage. The table and chairs were oiled appropriately and covered when in the rain. And yet the chairs can’t be sat on without breaking, and the table looked awful, splitting etc. The seller is an absolute joke, he shouldn’t be selling to the public after admitting he’s never heard of The Consumer Rights Act 2015. Not only did he argue with me that trading standards themselves were incorrect (trading standards informed me I was entitled to a full refund), he tried to claim that amazon themselves weren’t aware of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (I refuse to believe this, they surely know the law!!!! 🤔). He also kept trying to get me to contact the manufacturer, Don’t fall for that. Trading standards will tell you that your contract is with HIM the retailer, who you paid. The manufacturer has absolutely nothing to do with you getting a refund, but he seems incapable of understanding that, even though I provided him with proof. He then also tried to go against the amazon faulty products return policy and make me pay to return the product, (it’s available to view from his sellers page!) that you are entitled to a FULL FREE OF CHARGE refund within 6 months if a product is faulty, and is still arguing that I am receiving a refund outside amazons policy. Which is not true. If you’re trying to get a refund from this man, contact trading standards and refer him to the consumer rights act 2015, and amazons own faulty products return policy, you are entitled to a FULL FREE OF CHARGE REFUND. This mean you DO NOT have to pay to return the item. Something which he seems unable to grasp. Even though it states as much within the amazon returns policy. Or just do yourselves a favour and don’t give this man your business. He is a real pain to talk to, ignores what you say, repeats ridiculous phrases, and doesn’t know the law 🤷🏽‍♀️ Plus the fact that the item is extremely bad quality, save yourselves the hassle. He’s an absolute charlatan.
