Argon ONE M.2 NVME Expansion Board for Raspberry Pi 4 | Supports M-Key M.2 NVME SSD | Only Compatible with Argon ONE V2 Cases

Got mine in a sale, and already had the top half of the argon one case. This is the nvme version so make sure you have an nvme m.2 drive (any physical size format up to 2280) and not a sata m.2 drive - there is a specific version of this case for sata m.2 drives. pi4 supports changing the boot source once you have booted with a tf card and run 'sudo raspi-config', no more changing boot options via text files! Mine now runs 24/7 as a pihole and file server. Updates are super fast, and boot is almost instant.

I found the installation of this easy to do. I made sure the drive I was going to use was an NVME drive and the drive appeared in PI OS without needing to do anything special. All I needed to do was the standard Linux stuff to format, mount, etc. Tests seem to highlight that TRIM, etc. is not supported.

I bought this Argon ONE NVME Expansion Board because I realized too late that I had purchased an NVMe SSD instead of a SATA one. The board works flawlessly and fits perfectly in place of the original SATA expansion board. It’s a bit pricey for such a small upgrade, but that’s on me. The build quality is excellent—well-machined and solid. Everything feels high-quality and precisely made. Installation was straightforward, and the board functions exactly as expected. A reliable upgrade if you need NVMe support for the Argon ONE V2 case.

Es muy fácil de usar para agregar almacenamiento en conjunto con la carcasa Argon ONE. Sin embargo le falta tener más ventilación para tener mejor manejo de temperatura comparada con poner la unidad m.2 en un dispositivo aparte.
