Since its publication in the early 20th century, the unique concepts and teachings in “The Kybalion” have and continue to enjoy a significant impact in New Age circles. Initially published in 1908 under the authorship of Three Initiates, which is thought to be a pen name of New Thought pioneer William Walker Atkinson, the book is a modern Hermetic tract. Based on the purported teachings of legendary Hellenistic figure Hermes Trismegistus, “The Kybalion” adds a uniquely modern twist and engagingly accessible perspective to medieval Hermetic texts. Readers new to the Hermetic philosophy will find much here that is illuminating and thought-provoking. The seven Hermetic principles of mentalism, correspondence, vibration, polarity rhythm, cause and effect, and gender are all covered in great detail. Readers who have a basic knowledge of ancient and medieval Hermetica will be particularly interested that “The Kybalion” offers a new slant on the ancient teachings. It is mainly preoccupied with the mental agility and transformation of the practitioner, as opposed to solely focusing on the contemplation and reverence for the divine. Although sometimes criticized as dismissing the historical traditions of Hermetic philosophy in favour of early 20th-century ideas, “The Kybalion” is an insightful and engaging introduction to Hermetic thought. Very substantial book
I had partially read the book and left a review because at first I wasn’t connecting with the authors portion, and recommended purchasing The Kabalion, Three Initiates instead . Although as I’ve read more, I am connecting to the deluxe version more and more and I’m finding it to be very insightful and a worthy read. Not an easy read., these books are for the deep thinking and you’ll get the most from them with a willingness to reread and contemplate.

A brief primer
This book is brief and full of knowledge. Think of it as that quick yet comprehensive primer that will lead to more and thicker books on your shelves in short order. My nitpick is that it frequently quotes itself. Perhaps that’s a device to build anticipation for the next concept but it still seemed a little odd. Worth read tho, and small enough to keep in a tackle box for meditative sessions on the water when the fish aren’t biting.

Amazing
Great explanations on the Kybalion, along with modern and current thinking! I've read other books of wisdom, but without an explanation it's hard to guess what the author meant. This book solves such problem.

A Clear Foundation
This the clearest account of Hermetic philosophy I have read to date. If you have been studying these truths for a time, this book will connect all of the dots for you. But beyond that, if you are a beginner, START with this book. Of all of the books of Occult Theology and Sciences that I have read, and I have many, this is the most clear. It does not require any kind of extensive religious or scientific vocabulary prior to reading. Any concept you may be struggling to understand will be explained by this book, and every book you read after it will make sense.

Un libro que te cambiara la vida. Eso si, hay que leerlo concentrado y con TODOS los sentidos puestos para poder entenderlo. No es un libro para leer a ratos en el metro o sitios donde no puedas concentrarte al 100%
