Energizer Universal Charger - Pack of 1

I am using this universal charger for C and D type batteries and from my experience until now I did not have any issues with it. I am not a heavy user, it charges batteries used in my kids toys. Personally I would not use it for AA and AAA batteries if you charge them frequently as this is a fast charge device and from experience it would probably shorten life of your batteries. Bare in mind this only accepts batteries in pairs (same type), so if you need to charge 3 batteries at once you won't be able to. For the price would recommend if you need to use it with C and D type batteries.

I was having problems with batteries holding their charge when recharged via a quick (15 minute) charger and wanted a replacement charger that gave an indication as to the state of the battery. This unit is proven to do exactly that and, after only 2-3 days, I am delighted with it.Place a pair or two of batteries - and it takes a wide variety of types - in the charger, plug in the lead, switch it on at the socket and you are off. The display indicator shows the state of each battery i.e. charging / full / bad and, if charging, indicates progress via one, two or three flashing indicator bars. After the requisite 2-5 hours charging time has elapsed the job is complete. It is as easy as that.If you are after an easy to use yet efficient charger then I can wholly recommend this Energizer Universal Battery Charger with Smart LCD.

This charger can charge either 2 or 4 AA or AAA rechargeable batteries. The front is one big light, which is red when the batteries are charging and green when charged, so really easy to monitor! The light flashes red if any of the batteries are faulty and need to be disposed of. Batteries can only be charged in pairs, not individually but, by inserting batteries in different combinations, it is possible to identify the faulty one. Works well.

This charger is excellent and charges very fast. I bought this one and avoided the other cheap rubbish and how pleased I was it charges 4 AA within 45 minutes so this is well recommended.

Wasted my money, description states lcd info panel displays battery charge information this is not true, I bought this specifically for charging 9v batteries yet all you get when there charging is a couple of red lights and no matter how many hours you leave them plugged in the lights neither change colour or go out to show if full charge has been reached...am I supposed to just guess when there ready to use?

Very dissapointed.Built on a budget - dosent feel as though you get what you pay for.The flimsy door feels like it will only withstand a maximum of 10 closes.You can only charge batteries in pairs. Not very convenient if you just want to charge a single cell for example a nose/ear trimmer etc.The photo of the units display screen looks way more impressive than it does in reallity.I have managed to get hold of a second-hand Maplin universal charger which you can charge batteries singly, has a great build quality and a seperate colour changing led for every battery cradle.

I took ages deciding whether I wanted a charger just for my AAA and AA batteries or whether it would be better to have one that could deal with any rechargeable battery I might buy in the future, like this one.So I got this one and I'm very pleased with it. Taking all the standard batteries from AA right up to D size as well as the 9v PP3 style this will hopefully last for some time.So far I've only used it for my AAA and AA batteries and it displays the progress in the LCD display; fairly basic but lets you know what's going on better than just a red/green LED. It even says "FULL" when fully charged, and "BAD" if it can't charge some old, run down ones.Time will tell whether it lets me charge my AAA batteries the promised "hundreds" of recharges but I've no reason to complain about the way this charges them up. So far it has charged up my AAA batteries in times varying from 30 minutes to 1 hour (depending on how flat they were, I'm guessing) although a fully flat AAA battery will take twice this time (it says). I've read that charging a battery more slowly is better than zapping it full in 15 minutes, partly due to the heat this causes. At least you can put them in overnight and they are all done in the morning, it won't overcharge them.It's bigger than one of the plug-in-a-wall-socket types (and comes with a lead and plug) but it's certainly not obtrusive. It looks suitable for a home rather than a workshop too.All in all a nice little unit.

I bought this for the sole purpose of charging 9-volt batteries for my motorbike alarm and you get no indication when they are fully charged, useless
