The DS Line reaches its full sound performance with relatively little power, making even the connection directly to the car radio is no problem. Review: Good fit and sound for Porsche 964 rear speaker grills. - Far superior to the stock rear (parcel shelf) speakers that I was replacing in my 1990s Porsche 964 Carrera 2 Coupe. In this car, no additional cutting was needed in the parcel shelf, although you'll need to get your Dremel out to enlarge the hole within the speaker trays. Grills fit on top without any modification. In a 964 you won't get modern day stereo sound with these, not without an amplifier and a sub.
