My go-to solution for wall mounting most things are these large 3M command strips, which, as long as there is enough of a tab sticking out, are easily removed. My latest design was a simple remote control holder which mounted to a wall using these large command strips, and it worked perfectly. The primary benefit from these command strips is of course that they stick well, but can be removed without ripping up a wall. That is only the case though, if there is enough of a tab sticking out that can be grabbed and pulled straight down (or up), to release the tape. If that tab breaks or there is not enough of it sticking out to grip, it is just like using regular foam double sided tape, and will likely damage the wall when removed (which has happened a couple times to me). So just keep that in mind when placing the strips, and don't cover the tabs where they cannot be accessed to remove the strips. What I got was a bag labeled “large” but the strips are 3” x 3/4”. So I’m not sure if these are X-large and mislabeled or there is a medium size which is not an option to order. **Q: What are the dimensions of the actual strips?** A: 2 1/2 by 1/2 half inch total length for everything thx Bob **Q: Did anyone try to remove it from a painted wall? Doesn’t leave any damage **Q: Would these be strong enough to mount papwr towel holder?** A: These strips are replacement strips for 3M's Hooks, not meant to be installed on something else! I very much doubt they would work on a paper towel holder (unless maybe if it were plastic, but even then, I doubt it)!
