Is this hat waterproof?

The one I have is a different colour and my answer is based on the one I have. I found the cap itself is waterproof, however some water always manages to find it's way through the back of head area. Although the top and front of my head stays mainly dry, the back of my hair ends up wet. Hope this helps.

Does this product keep water out of the ears?

It is shaped to cover ears and would definitely minimise any water getting into ears, but I wouldn't say 100%. I guess would depend on head shape/size.
