Instead of buying adapters for older cables, I always buy a specific USB-C to whatever I need. UGREEN always has the perfect cable in multiple lengths, they're beautifully built, they work well, and they don't cost a lot of money.

Great replacement for a USB connection. Bought a new Mac mini that only had thunderbolt ports. Purchased this for my external hard drive so I could plug it straight it. Works as expected.
