Is this suitable for scuba diving?

Yes, it is made from waterproof material suitable for diving.

No... It's a poorly made metal / plastic pole - mine fell apart on first use - don't buy it!

Is there a 1/4in screw-thread mount on the base of the handle so that you can use this as an extension on top of another tripod?

Currently, there is not 1/4 screw-thread mount.
