A simple story with a profound message.
I read the 60th Anniversary Edition! We’ve perhaps all seen the film, thought it was about time I read the book. In the process I found out How Dr. Seuss makes reading fun. Clearly a celebrated seasonal anti-hero. As beloved as Scrooge and championed as one to counter the joy and spirit of Christmas. But to steal Christmas! How low can you go? A wonderful classic picture book with line drawn illustrations and a rhyming text that builds the tension of the story. What parent wouldn’t struggle to ensure their child uttered those words “Santa’s been!” To steal all that; is there a worse crime? The delight of the book is the contrast. The tension that builds as this terrible crime is played out. The joy of the book is that Christmas is saved as its deeper meaning is understood. A simple story with a profound message.

Black and white and red book
I got this book for my toddler who loves Grinch as part of his Xmas gifts. He likes the fact that Grinch is green but unfortunately the only green Grinch on this book is the one on the cover. The rest of the book is black and white and red. That’s why I took away one star. ⭐ I ended up colouring every single Grinch in the book to green also coloured Grinch’s dog, to prevent disappointment. The story is long and as I said the book isn’t colourful for younger age audiences. However if you have a book worm like my toddler then it’s a lovely classic story. We have “Sam I Am” book also. He likes Dr. Seuss books. I recommend for older kids unless you have a 2-3 year old book enthusiast

Im Englischen klingt das dann so: "Maybe Christmas does not come from the store. Maybe - maybe, Christmas means a little more."

Ottimo acquisto
