The chair needs cleaning up. I'm concerned that this balm might ruin the patina?** A: I would be surprised if this product were to do anything other than enhance the appearance of the wood. You could always try a small patch in a less noticeable area first to make sure, but I doubt it would remove the patina, although it will clean the wood. **Q: Does this work on outside teak furniture and if so which colour top would be best.** A: I am afraid I haven;t tried it on teak. I use the light colour on pine, maple and light oak and it is brilliant. I would try the light one first as it is unlikely to harm it and I would assume the dark one is for woods like mahogany. I suspect the manufacturers willl have a helpline if you Google them and they will advise. **Q: What is the differance between the red & green tops?** A: I use the green topped wood balm on light oak furniture. I believe the red top is for darker wood. **Q: Will it remove water marks on waxed pine?** A: It should help to blend in, but may depend on how highly waxed the surface is.
