Works good once you figure it out.
So, when I first got this... I had so much difficulty getting it set up which is why I want to leave this review. I wanted it to be on at 6:00AM and off at 6:00PM which obviously needs to be 18:00. (seems silly but I was struggling). So once, I got the times figured out I couldn't figure out why the lamp was not turning on in outlet 1. Well it turns out the outlet 1 and 2 cannot have a timer on the lamp itself!! So I ordered a basic heat lamp and now it is working properly. The temp seems to be a little lower on the metal bar than my tank and gun read. I just set it a little lower to be safe and keep him protected from burns.

This Temperature Controller is great once you learn to use it correctly
When I first got this this Temperature Controller I almost returned it since I could not figure out how to use it correctly. But after some trial and error I figured it out and it has been working great for the past year. Here is how to use it correctly: Out 1 and Out 2 are for the Temperature Probes You need to configure your On setting and Off setting. So for example I am using it to regulate the temperature of a heating pad. I need it to be around 90ยฐ-93ยฐ so I set the On to 90ยฐ and the Off to 92ยฐ that way it is always in the right range and not over or under. It does sometimes hit 93ยฐ so just be sure to plan for this when setting yours up. If you need both probes then set Out 2 accordingly. However, if you do not plan to use Out 2 and want it to remain off, then just set the On and Off temps to the same setting and it stays off. *TIP - If you set Out 2 to Off then whenever you lose power you will lose your settings. This glitch has been tested and confirmed by the manufacturer. But as long as you set On and Off to the same value then the settings are saved in the event of a power failure. Out 3 is to be used for something like a basking light or a tank light and it turns on and off based on time. Bear in mind that the time on this controller is based on a 24hr clock so be sure to set your On and Off times accordingly. I also recommend using a digital thermometer to double check your temps. There are other settings as well such as alarm settings which I currently do not use but are definitely useful especially for sensitive pets that need their temperature to survive. So be sure to check the manual for these. I highly recommend this product since it saves me a lot of hassle when it comes to controlling my heating pad and tank light.

Seems okay, but designed to fail
At first this controller was very useful, I could set the two temperature probes to in the snake enclosure and near the undertank heating pad to monitor both temperatures simultaneously. After about a month of use, the first probe on the heating pad broke. By that I mean, it started to report temperatures from 72 to 135 degrees. The sensor inside the tank held steady at 85 so I was content to ignore that failure as everything seemed to be working. About two weeks later I was woken in the middle of the night by an alarm. The temperature in the tank had dropped to 75, despite no change in the controller. Using the manual and scrolling through the menus I was able to reset it, the limits on the sensor probe, and correct the PID loop for temperature control. It worked for about a day before I got another alarm saying that the inside tank temperature had hit 95 degrees. This was confirmed with a second probe and an IR thermometer. It would randomly turn on and off power to the heating element, sometimes supply power to the wrong outlet (I was only using one of the two) because the "sensor" triggered for the other probe. I bought a new one from another supplier and since there was no chance of return from the company I took it apart to find out what's wrong. The internal wiring is haphazard if I'm being generous. Solder connections are flimsy and oxidized, the chipsets used to make the electronics work are not compatible as in they have different voltage requirements and there's no converter to change, so one either runs above recommended voltage or the other runs below the minimum required. TL;DR This failed after a month and nearly caused significant harm to my pets. It is designed to fail and will cause harm if you're not vigilant.

Easy to configure
Really versatile and functional temperature controller and timer. Have it outside in the Lanai for a few months and still works. Like the added feature for cooling.

Great product
Works great. Purchased two and neither have any issues.

Works great for the price point!
I got this temperature controller for my reptile setup and it has been working really well. The accuracy seems solid. The readings match what I get on my separate thermometer so I feel confident it is measuring correctly. Installation itself was simple but the instructions were not super clear. I actually set it up wrong the first time and had to redo it after realizing my mistake. Once I figured it out it was easy but the instructions definitely could have been better. The quality seems good. The unit feels sturdy and the screen is easy to read. The buttons work well and nothing feels flimsy. Temperature control has been consistent. It keeps everything in the range I set and reacts quickly if the temp starts to drift. It makes maintaining the right environment way less stressful. Overall it is a reliable controller and a good value if you need accurate temperature management. I would just say take a minute to double check your setup since the instructions can be a little confusing.

Completelt Impressed
I rarely ever take time to leave a review, this product deserves some positive feedback. First let me say that I am an Electrical Contractor and HVAC controls Specialist. With that said, I am very critical of most temperatures control devices. This did take about 15 minutes to understand their programming process, but only because they made it extremely versatile. It even has an Audible Alarm Feature for Output 1 & 2 if you choose to set it up. This can control Heat and, or Cooling, if you use 1 output for heat and 1 for cool. I am using this for a Chicken Brooder, so I am using both for Heat and Output 3 for Lighting. I disabled the timers on Output 1 and 2 and Set the Temperature Range (On) @ 90ยฐF, (Off) @ 95ยฐF. I can control multiple Brooders using the Exact Same Setup. 1 Reptile Pad 16 Watt and 1 70 Watt Ceramic Heat Lamp per Brooder. Output 3 is Set to Provide LED Lighting to Simulate Sunlight. Check your devices and Do Not Exceed the Rated Amps. Easy Amperage Calculation: WattsรทVolts=Amps 70W รท 120V = .58 Amps Do not Exceed 10 Amps Total Combined

Clock does NOT work properly
It controls the heat but the clock does not keep proper time. You can set it and a few minutes later its hours off. So i just set it in a way that it just controls the heat mat per say but i would not buy another one of these.

Pretty cool little relay controller. Used it for DHW recirc.
Pretty cool little relay controller. Using it for hot water re-circulation at home. For a home setup, don't bother with an expensive smart pump or relays, just use a basic stainless steel pump at low speed and this controller (can run 2 pumps). Wish there was a version calibrated with a long wire (10 meters), because I made my own probe extension cable using some Cat6 and placed a probe at the farthest hot water take-off point, and set the low temp at 32C and high at 35C. Because of the length of the wire, the temp reading fluctuates, but it's good enough for this purpose. It turns on the pump circuit during daytime only when the temp at the far end drops to 32C, then cuts power at 35C. Then, the water will continue to flow by inertia, until it reads about 42C. This one uses a mechanical relay, not SSR.

Disappointed..
I bought these at the end of December in 2023. It's April 2024 and they already aren't working. They will still turn my lights on and off but every time I plug in any kind of heat source no matter what wattage it is, it either burns out the bulb immediately or it won't switch on the heat when it's below the temperature it's supposed to turn on at. Now neither of my reptiles have what they should've because I put my trust into something blindly. I've tried reaching out but have heard nothing, I'll be trying again.. but please be warned that this is possible as it happened with both that I purchased.

Intuitive and simple design, works well so far
Maintains target temp range well. Probes seem to be accurate and respond quickly to changes. Love the multiple plugs. Would love a unit with even more plugs for larger reptile collections. Overall great so far after about 1 month of running it for my new cal geckos. Edit: loved it so much I now have one for my geckos, and another 2 units for my snakes. Amazing and cheap compared to other options. Can run hot side, cold side temps + daytime lights. Easy to use if youโre familiar with thermostat setups. Love love love.
