Good device for non-professional use
My purpose for this device is to simply know the rough temperature and, more importantly, humidity in my flat, especially during the cold winter months. I don't own a greenhouse, a terrarium, a vine cellar, or a similar thing requiring more "professional" reads. Reading the reviews on this hygrometer and many others, I noticed that they all have people complaining about bad readings. Since I couldn't find a single one with a reasonable number of reviews (say, 100+) without someone complaining about this, and because it's a fairly cheap device (16 GBP at the time of this writing), I decided to get 2 of them for the 2 rooms I'm most interested in, keep them together for a day, and compare. I'm guessing that the chances of 2 of them being equally faulty are very slim, given that most of the other reviews are very positive. In case that these two proved to be very inconsistent, I would've requested a replacement for both, without worrying which one is the faulty one. I would suggest anyone buying these to use this approach, unless you have another device (especially hygrometer) to compare with. The results of the experiment can be seen on the accompanied image: - quite consistent current humidity (only 1 percentage point); - some discrepancy in the lowest measured humidity (4 percentage points), which is to be expected of any such device; - fairly consistent current temperature (under 0.5C apart, and usually it's less); - 24h low/high shows a bit bigger difference (1C) in the lowest measured temperature. My conclusion is that both of the devices work fine, unless one needs super-precise measuring, in which case you need to go way above this price range. As for the other features: the setup is trivial (it consists of putting the supplied batteries in and, if Fahrenheits are your thing, clicking the icon on the screen), the backlight is quite pleasant, the screen is very visible, the magnets on the back seem to be quite stronger than a device like this needs,... All in all, the device does very nicely what it is advertised do. Not having checked the dimensions prior to buying, I expected considerably bigger devices (the impression I got from the obviously doctored product images) and I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived. In my opinion, the size is just right to make them very readable, yet quite elegant (although, I do admit that this is a matter of personal taste). These were delivered to me less than 2 days ago (2nd Nov 2018), so I cannot speak of their durability. However, if this review remains unedited, you can be sure that this didn't prove to be a problem since. To conclude: These are a good value for money, and I would recommend them to anyone with similar, non-professional needs.

Accurate and reliable
I wanted a humidity meter to keep track of the humidity levels in my music room, where I have my piano and my cello. Both instruments should be kept in a humidity level in the range 40% - 60%. I chose the TP55 because it displayed daily and long term max-min readings as well as the current humidity level and temperature. I tested the accuracy of the TP55 using the salt test The principle is that if an amount of wet salt is placed in an airtight box, the air in the boxt will eventually reach a humidity level of 75%. If the meter reading is higher or lower than 75%, note the difference and use this as a correction factor to subract from or add to any future readings. If the reading is 75%, no corrections are needed. I set up an airtight box (food container) with the wet salt in a small dish, and put the meter inside to leave it overnight. In the morning, the TP55 showed a reading of exactly 75%. This is spot on. So I can use the readings straight off the display. In my music room, the humidity level is varying from 40% to 50%, and I now have confidence in these readings. Of course, this test result does not guarantee that every example of a TP55 will be so accurate, but it's an easy test to perform. The picture shows my meter in the test box with the salt dish, showing the final reading. A very useful meter, and well worth the modest price.

Clear display and useful magnetic mounting
This is an excellent product. I use it in my indoor swimming pool and it allows me to keep a an eye on the temperature and humidity. This one is much bigger than the previous one I had which was barely 4 cm across. The only issue I have with this one is that it provides a load of unnecessary information in smaller digits. But, the significant information – humidity and temperature – are very easy to read from anywhere in the pool room so, in all a very good product at a very good price. It also has magnets on the back so you could attach it to a fridge or other metal surface rather than table or wall mounting it.

Really, really easy to use & very clear
I love these. We had a very, very wet house, with water pouring down the windows in the winter. A friend persuaded me to buy one of these to help research the issues of the house. I was convinced it would be complicated and did not take it out of the packaging for over a year! One day I got brave & was astounded. So easy! Tells you everything you need to know the second you put the batteries in! Everything you need is just on the screen & very obvious. If you want more, the touch screen gives easy & instant extras. I can see what the humidity is and the temperature. Also what it was in the last 24 hours max & min. I can have centigrade or fahrenheit with one touch of the screen. It will even light up if I want it to for night viewing. I could not ask for more. I brought a dehumidifier (arete two, 20 L) which also worked really well and very easily. The house started to dry out at once & within 2 weeks it felt dry and no more water on the windows. I brought one of these little toys for each room! I have put them all in one room to test accuracy and they all agree which is reassuring. They also give the same reading as the dehumidifier. I am ridiculously happy! This is a very useful and very easy to use tool

Thermopro TP55EU
Review: Thermopro TP55EU I needed an hygrometer to monitor the humidity in the kitchen of the property I am renting. The room always seemed damp and there was mould beginning to appear on a wall in the corner. I looked at the various meters and thought this one was suitable for the purpose. The specification is good, with indications of relative humidity and temperature, which is all I really needed, but it also has a Comfort indicator which shows DRY if the relative humidity is below 30%, COMFORT if the humidity is between 30% and 60% and WET if the humidity is above 60%. In addition to this there are trend arrows to show whether the humidity and temperature are increasing, decreasing or steady. Other very useful features are: maximum and minimum humidity and temperature values, recorded over the last 24 hours or since the last reset; a blue backlight and the temperature may be displayed in deg F or deg C, all selectable by touch-button. As I live in the UK I only need the Celcius scale (deg C) but it is good to have the choice. The temperature range of the meter is quoted as -50 C to +70 C, with a resolution of 0.1 C. The humidity range of the meter is quoted as 10% to 99%, with a resolution of 1% and an accuracy of +/-3%. It is powered by two AAA batteries, which are readily available and inexpensive – the meter has a LOW BATT indicator to show when the batteries need to be replaced. I am impressed by this little meter, especially at the price, the display is easy to read and it seems accurate. Using it has shown that my suspicions about the dampness were correct (see photo) and I need a de-humidifier! The only other feature I would like is a port to connect the meter to a computer to record values and trends (this is available in another model, the Thermopro TP60, I found out too late), even so I give this 5*.

I do love the ThermoPro Humidity/Temperature Gauge
I do love the ThermoPro Humidity/Temperature Guage. This is the second one I’ve bought in the last seven months. Whereas the first one took up to two hours to adapt to my surroundings, this latest one I’ve just bought, to my surprise, was giving a fairly accurate reading within 15 minutes of installing it in our Sitting Room. I’m sorry to hear that various people have had issues with theirs. Mine seems to be working fine, with no issues with the readings it gives, the lights coming on easily (Per Instructions manual that comes with it, once you’ve installed the two AA Batteries that come with it, you press the Light Bulb icon at the bottom centre of the gauge & a BLUE Light comes on to enable you to see the Readings in the dark - this stays on for 10 seconds before going off to conserve battery life. A NICE TOUCH). The back of the Humidity/Temperature Gauge comes with two magnetic strips attached near the battery compartment on the reverse of the device - this allows you to stick it on your fridge or anything magnetic - ANOTHER NICE TOUCH. (I’ve got the first one I bought in August 2017 attached to our fridge in the Kitchen). On the back of the device, it also has a pull-out stand (which you need to pull out gently but steadily) - this allows you to stand the device on a flat surface. Accordingly, we have the latest one that we’ve just bought placed strategically at eye level on a shelf and tucked discreetly in a corner of our sitting room. What do I think of it? I love it! - it performs well (Temperature Readings always +/- 0.5 Degree Celsius within ACTUAL, Humidity Readings +/- 1.5 within the actual HUMIDITY Readings, which is ACTUALLY one of the BEST I’ve actually had so far from very cheap and NOT-SO-CHEAP Humidity Devices I’ve bought in the past. I hope my review has been of assistance to you, and would try to answer within 48 Hours any questions put to me regarding the device. Thank you for reading.

Simple to use and easy to read
I recently purchased the ThermoPro TP50 Digital Thermo-Hygrometer and I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. This indoor room thermometer and hygrometer combination provides accurate measurements of temperature and humidity, with a wide range of -50°C to 70°C and 10% to 99% respectively. The readings are updated every 10 seconds, so I always have the latest information at my fingertips. The innovative room climate indicator displays the current temperature and humidity in cute symbols, such as dry, comfort, and wet. It helps me quickly determine if the room climate is too damp or too dry and take action accordingly. This is especially important for maintaining a healthy home environment and ensuring proper indoor humidity control. The thermometer hygrometer has a smart design, with both tabletop and magnet mountable options, and the ability to select between Celsius or Fahrenheit. It is also powered by AAA battery, making it easy to use and convenient to move around. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and highly recommend the ThermoPro TP50 Digital Thermo-Hygrometer to anyone looking for an accurate and easy-to-use indoor room thermometer and hygrometer with a range of practical applications at home or in the office.
