A must have for resellers.
This product is a less expensive way to repair CD's. It is loud, however it does preform well. I have salvaged some CD's that were a lost cause. I've already purchased the refill kit. A great buy for sellers that flip games and movies.

Great budget repair
This gave life back to my old PSX games. As a youth I didnt think to put games back in their cases, so alot of them were pretty scuffed up. As long as you follow the directions it does a fantastic job buffing out the Disc. It does not get rid of deep scratches, but it works well enough to get them readable again.

Good in theory, but garbage product
Lightweight, cheap plastic. The motor is VERY LOUD. doesn't have enough pressure to actually do anything to the surface of the disc. I tested by just putting a fingerprint smudge on a clean, scratch free disc and running it thru all 3 cycles. At the end, the fingerprint was still there and the disc actually looked dirtier. tried again with replacement pads and still nothing. Buy something else.

Great expectations but not perfect
It cleans really well. Not perfect but should take care of 90% of your scratches. 4 stars is right where it should be. Used it on 6 discs in different conditions. 4 of the 6 it fixed completely no problem. The two were really really bad though. Slight improvement on one. If its a deep scratch on the data it won't fix it.

Very pleased with this setup
Product works amazingly well. Simple to use. I had a very important disc that is part of a set. I dropped the disc and it was damaged to the point it wouldn't even play. I ran it through this product once. It played but had a spot it still skipped at. Ran it through a second time. It played perfectly. Definitely worth having on hand. Thanks for offering a very good product at an affordable price.

It Will Not Save Your Deep-Scratched DVDs
What I like It runs as advertised. The powered base spins, the brushes buff, the spray cleans. The mechanical kit does what a mechanical kit is supposed to do. It brought back a couple of our discs. A few of the lighter-scratch DVDs, the ones where the eye could barely see the scratch, came back and still play. The kit is real for the discs it works on. It visibly cleans the surface. Even on the discs it does not fully fix, the surface looks more polished after a run. Dirt comes off. Surface scuffs come off. The disc ends up looking better than when it started. The brush set has three grades. Lighter and harder brushes, matched to scratch depth. The kit lets you pick the right brush for the disc rather than forcing one brush on every job. Powered, not hand-rub. The motorized base removes the fatigue of hand-polishing. You do not have to put muscle into it. Set the disc, run the cycle, flip, run the other side. It runs for a minute or two per cycle. Short cycles. You can run multiple discs in a session without it becoming a chore. What annoys me It does not fix the deep scratches. The whole reason I bought the kit was to fix deep scratches. It does not fix deep scratches. It polishes the surface but the disc still will not play. That is the failure case the listing does not lead with. Mixed results across the same stack. Some discs came back, others did not, on what looked like the same kind of scratch from the outside. There is no way to know in advance which discs will work and which will not. Some of our discs went through the kit four or five times and the player still says “disc error.” You can damage a disc if you push it. If you keep running the heavier brushes on the same spot, the disc thins. We did not push ours hard. The kit lets you push hard if you are not paying attention. The kit is not cheap. The list price is around $52 for the kit, plus refills. For a kit that may or may not save a disc, that is a lot of money per attempted save. There are cheaper alternatives that get the cleaning-right job done with a microfiber cloth and isopropyl alcohol. The kit is the powered version of a cleaning job you can do by hand. It does not label which scratches it can and cannot fix. You find out the kit cannot fix a deep scratch only after you have run the cycle. That is after the time and the spray. The result is hard to verify visually. You run the cycle, the disc looks better, you put it in the player, the player says “disc error,” you are back where you started. The visual improvement is not a guarantee of playback. The kit is for DVDs, CDs, and Blu-ray, but the failure mode differs. DVDs are more forgiving of light scratches than Blu-rays. A scratch that a DVD will read past, a Blu-ray will not. The kit does not make that distinction in its materials. Who it is for, and who should skip it If you have a stack of lightly scratched DVDs with sentimental value, light dust, or surface scuffs, this kit will probably help. The brush set, the spray, and the powered base are the right tool for that job, and the kit does it well. If you have deeply scratched DVDs that will not load or will not play through, skip this kit. It will not bring them back. The kit polishes the surface but the player still cannot read past the scratch. You will spend $50 plus refills for a polish that does not translate to playback. You are better off re-buying the disc on eBay or seeing if the title is on a streaming service you already pay for. Skip it if you only need to clean dirt. A microfiber cloth and a small spray of cleaning solution will handle dirt for a tiny fraction of the cost. The kit is overkill for dirt alone. Buy it only if you have a stack of discs where the cleaning-plus-polish is worth the kit price. Verdict Powered disc-repair kit that cleans and lightly polishes DVDs, will not save deeply scratched ones. The kit does what it is designed to do. The design is not enough for the deep-scratch case. Grade: D—skip it unless the only thing wrong with the disc is dirt. Buy the linked listing only if cleaning is genuinely your need.

Awesome Cd Repair Device
Don't listen to the one star reviews this machine really works and makes yours CDs and DVD look like new again i restored all the CDs that had scratches and they all play great now. But if you have really scratched DVDs and CDs then i suggest you try the JFJ machine hope this machine will work out for you, Good Luck in your disc repairing the noise on this machine is not that loud at all it does not bother me the instructions were very easy to understand, I'm happy with my machine Thanks to the people who invented this machine it saved me money on rebuying discs although I'm planning to rebuy some CDs that were not fixable This machine is durable Thanks Amazon

It’s okay, but save your money. Get a better one.
These are by far not the best machines to use for disc resurfacing and repair, although they are not the worst. I was able to repair a disc to readability from not reading at all. But there was still much issue with the game readability that could not be fixed by this machine. It took Disc Replay’s fancier machine to get it working properly again. Its cleaning power leaves much to be desired, and is very similar to one of those hand crank ones. I believe the price should be lower for the quality produced, you can still see the marks in the discs surfaced with this machine which is not favorable. The sound isn’t that great when using it, but what can you expect. Fairly simple and easy to use, although if I could I would’ve returned this and saved for a better performing machine.
