Furious Twizzlers.
Well, it doesn't work with kid-power if you are trying to get water up vertically or even near vertically. Even with an adult helping with a gator grip/duct tape/power drill we struggled, however if you put it in water almost horizontally so the end is submerged, and twizzle that handle furiously you may see the water being grudgingly coerced along the shaft to the top. You have to be a furious twizzler though. Which, curiously was my first thought about the manufacturers of this toy.

Poor design
Doesn't pull up water at all unless you have it mostly flat, and struggles with small objects too. Don't waste your money.

limited use
Doesn't really work with water which is what the archemedes screw is famous for. This is possibly because its designed to be easy to clean and not very water tight. Works with small solid things which is a bit entertaining. I tried it with uncooked popcorn. Needs a redesign so it functions with water.

Nice Idea Poor Design
This product is poorly designed. the screw is above the hole in the bottom and the screw itself is quite steep and made of plastic with a low frictional coefficient. As a result the unit will only pick up small items and has to be used almost horizontal to ensure that anything picked up by the screw does not slide back down it. Nice idea, poor execution.

Rubbish
Rubbish......doesnt work!

utter rubbish
badly designed and doesn't work. The screw is a loose fit in the barrel and therefore any water that is encouraged up the screw simply runs down the sides back to the bottom.
