I had my heart set on a pair of Sebago's, but after a little research saw that Sperry's were the true originals. I absolutely love that founder, Paul Sperry, was inspired to make the nonslip soles by carving grooves in them after watching his dog run effortlessly on ice- and subsequently inspecting his paws to reveal his secret. As I have both a passion for dogs and the sea these are clearly the shoes for me. I would recommend to anyone.
