Review: A cracking piece of kit. - Bought this version, knowing there were other cheaper brands out there, and I don't regret spending the extra at all. During summer months this gets used about once or twice a week, sometimes multiple times a day if it's a big do. Not once has it shown any signs of warping, or scalding. It does it's job perfectly without any issues, gets the coal nice and hot, has a good enough capacity that most bbq's can be fueled by one full chimney. The handle doesn't get that hot when the coal is burning, I still use gloves as a precaution, but you mavericks out there need not worry about burning your hands. My one tiny gripe is that smaller pieces of coal can fall through the bottom grate, good quality coal tends to be slightly larger than cheaper so that's more of fuel issue, but that issue doesn't rear it's head until after you go through the included coal, which is about enough for two bbq's. I've just started layering the bigger piece on the bottom to create a little bed for the smaller pieces and that's helped heaps. This is an easy recommend for me, the metal is good quality and I could easily see this lasting 10 years+ which can't be said for my friends cheaper one, which warped like crazy after 1 summer and forced him to spend more on two than this one alone costs.

**Q: Do you have to use fire lighters with this, or can you just use rolled up newspaper?**

It is safe to use crumpled newspaper with our chimney starter, we also recommend using one of our firelighter cubes.

A: It's 20 cms in diameter and about 32cms in height.

**Q: Does this kit have the same chimney starter as the 7146? If so the complete kit is cheaper than the starter on its own?**
A: As far as I’m aware, it is the same. Plus you get 2kg of briquette and 6 lighting cubes. BTW the chimney itself is great, 15-20 minutes and BBQ is ready

A: I think it would fit in there. From wall to wall it's 7.5" . And 12" high. It's the best thing to start any BBQ. And been a Weber product it's very good quality. But keep it in a shed after use as it will rust.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Makes having a BBQ much easier

This is the first time that I have used or purchased a chimney for lighting, barbecue briquettes. The item isn’t cheap, but it does make having a barbecue a whole lot easier and guarantee success with lighting multiple briquettes. The bag of briquettes is small and may only last you one or two barbecues. Therefore it is more of a sample size bag. In my opinion on the firelighters were not as good as I expected and I have since opted for wood shaving beeswax type firelighters that seem to work much better. The bag of firelighters is also more of a trial size so really you are purchasing the chimney which is of a very good quality and appears to be made well and should last a very long time.
