I always thought glue is glue. But I stand corrected. I originally bought some Gorilla super glue but found it very runny and messy for the applications for which I was using it. I decided to try this gel with the hopes it would be easier to manage and I have to say I'm impressed. To start with I couldn't get the glue to come out of the nozzle, but that was my fault because I didn't read the instructions. You NEED to shake this well before use to mix the glue, at which point it can flow from the nozzle. The glue itself is strong and is quick to set. Its consistency (whcih is after all one of its main selling points) is nice and thick, but not so thick that it becomes unusable. You can apply a drop to the surface you want to stick and it won't just run - it's really handy. The glue seems durable and holds well. I have used it mainly to stick PLA parts I've printed and it's done the job well. If I had to offer a criticism it's not the cheapest glue but then I think in this case it's woeth the extra money if you need something a bit more viscous than ordinary super glue.

Really good glue sticks anything

The first thing that struck me about this glue was how little you get for your money. When I took the bottle out of the packaging it was only nearly a quarter full (see picture). When I came to use it, it was virtually impossible to get any out of the tube. Initially I thought it would just require a little effort as it was gel-based. After squeezing the bottle until the walls were touching, I still got nothing. Could it just be that it needs a bit of warmth/shaking after being sat in a warehouse for weeks? Nope. Even after heating it up, putting a stainless steel ball bearing in there and giving it a couple of minutes on my vortex mixer, I was still unable to coax any out of the tube. The tube was not blocked. I could quite easily run a straightened out paper clip through it without any opposition (and when the paper clip was removed there was no glue on it at all). The only way to get at the glue was to unscrew the tube completely and dip into it with a cocktail stick. Does it stick? Yes. That was it's one saving grace. It stuck very firmly and rapidly. The whole point of a gel-based glue is to create less mess, and in the process give you more control and save time. I would have created less mess and done the job faster with a cheap superglue bought from a pound store. Using this in its original bottle is like trying to squeeze a glacier through a manhole cover.

This product is excellent, does what it says on tin, as they say. Just wipe nozzle when finished and replace cap and good to go next time

Probably one of the best super glues you can buy — incredibly strong and very good at sticking your fingers together if you’re not careful! The gel formula is easy to control and works brilliantly on most surfaces. However, it has a frustrating flaw: it tends to go solid in the bottle long before you’ve used it all up. The bottle often looks like there’s plenty left, but when you actually need it, the whole thing has set hard. Really annoying. Because of this, I’ve started buying cheaper alternatives. They’re not quite as good, but at least they don’t turn into a solid lump halfway through the bottle. Great glue when it’s fresh, but the premature hardening knocks it down to three stars.

Doesn’t dry on its own in bottle like liquid so better value and longer lasting

I’ve used a lot of different super glues over the years, but Gorilla’s gel version has become my go-to. The precision tip helps you control how much comes out, so you don’t waste glue or end up with a sticky mess. Like all cyanoacrylate glues, you need to be careful—your fingers will bond faster than the object you’re fixing if you’re not paying attention. But with a little care, this glue delivers professional-level results at home. Bottom line: A reliable, versatile super glue that’s easy to handle and powerful enough for tough jobs. A small tube goes a long way, and the gel formula makes it worth choosing over the runnier versions.

Less messy than liquid super glue and easier to apply to difficult surfaces.
