Original Magnet Frame by Canetti-5x7 inch

I've bought this in 4x6 and 5x7 sizes almost one year ago and love it. The quality is excellent - perfectly clear material that has shown no signs of losing clarity and is very durable. It comes with 2 magnets that have plenty of strength to do the job. Another reviewer complained that an earlier version of the product had 4 magnets and they speculated that this reduction constituted a compromise in quality. I would say that it must be the case that it never needed 4 in the first place or if it did, it must have been because the earlier version had weaker magnets. Rest assured, 2 magnets suffice. Note only are the magnets strong enough to hold the 2 pictures you'll need to simply use the frame, but there's even enough strength to hold a few more in the middle (unseen) to keep handy for occasionally swapping out the pictures for the sake of variety. I use the 4x6 size with 4x6 prints which isn't ideal because it leaves no space around the print to give it a nice, framed look. I would recommend the 5x7 size for 4x6 prints if you can absorb the price difference. *** Regarding Price *** The only negative about this product is the price. However, I'll point out that the price varied significantly when I bought, so there's hope that it may come down again. I'd like to buy more of these but the current price is simply too high for me. My husband is European and had some pictures of his family in European sizes in really old and beaten up frames. I wanted to give them a facelift but was finding it hard to buy frames, both because of the non-standard sizes and because so many frames have such an aggressive aesthetic. I'm so glad I stumbled upon these! There's a lot of flexibility in the size of photo that you can fit in here, which was perfect for my purposes; they have a clean, modern aesthetic; and they're extremely easy to use! Super recommend.

If you are at all thinking of purchasing these beautiful Canetti frames, do not hesitate! They are absolutely lovely! The lucite is very clear and thick and the photograph appear to be floating inside it. You can also place a photograph for rear viewing so you don't see the backside of any pictures. A really smart, unique design. I love all things lucite and could not be happier with this museum-quality frame. It really goes with any decor and looks smashing with any mid century, modern, or contemporary designs. I will be buying more of these.

Simple yet sturdy! High quality acrylic looks more like crystal under the light. I highly recommend you place this object under a bright light, it will accentuate not only the item in the frame but the frame itself!! The sample show in the picture has a white border, it is from the picture itself, the product is clear, no colors. This is something I've been looking for but never know it exists. I want to frame a small piece of paper with a hand written motto that bears a special meaning to me. With ordinary picture frame, the frame would overpower the content, but this sleek design solves the problem and accentuates the writing, so it looks like a message embedded in a crystal!! I love these sleek frames. Perfect simplicity in form and function. They don't detract from what's in them, stand up perfectly straight on bookcase or tabletop/desktop, and go with almost any decor (though probably not for you if you like a lot of ornamentation.) I also like that the piece you put in them "floats" in space -- it doesn't need to be matted or fit the exact proportions of the frame. For example, a 3-inch square photo looks great in the 4x6-inch frame. The Lucite is clear and good quality. Magnets that hold the two pieces of Lucite together could be a little stronger, but they are sufficient. I have about 8 of these in various sizes and they make nice groupings on the bookcases in my living room.

I enjoy the adult coloring books. One of the series that I use has 5X5 pictures. I tried to get a good frame for them at another store and was appalled at the cost. This is an expensive frame. But it's also great! I can put my "colorings" in the frame and easily change them in and out. It is a heavier frame. But this also means that it easily stands up and doesn't fall over. I don't have any problems with the magnets that some people have called weak. Yes there are only 2 magnets. That's all that's needed. The neat thing is that I see keeping this for a really long time. And it will last for a really long time. Sometimes I've found that it's worth paying for quality and that's what one gets with this frame. Quality.
