well made and works perfectly
I'm always impressed with TechNet quality and packaging when the goods arrive. The packaging is perfectly sized and simple. The keyboard and mouse are a great buy. I was using it in seconds. The mouse takes 2 x AAA batteries and the keyboard takes 2 AA batteries, which are not included. The USB dongle is hidden inside the mouse and once plugged in to the computer it controls both the keyboard and the mouse. This has freed up a spare UBS port for me, which is great. The only comment I would make, is that windows 10 recognises a new USB and you have to click on a button to accept or block the new USB. It was handy therefore to keep the old wired mouse in whilst setting up so that this onscreen button could be pressed. Of course if you have a touch screen, it will cause you no issue. The keyboard is smooth to use and the keys feel quite cushioned. The mouse is slightly smaller than I would call full size, but its shape fits well in to the hand and I've found both work smoothly. The reaction of the mouse was very good. To save battery it switches off when not in use, so you need to click it to awaken.I found the hot keys particularly useful. The volume and mute buttons especially.A well made product and a good buy for the money.

it's super easy to set up
Until purchasing this TeckNet keyboard and mouse combo pack I'd previously been using a wired set at work - which is always a bit of a pain when in meetings or working from home (like today). I can get by on most occasions using the laptop keys and trackpad, but I find it a lot easier and faster to get work done on a full size keyboard.Seeing the low price of this wireless set I thought I'd give it a go - and since then I've actually retired my wired set to a drawer.First of all, it's super easy to set up. After adding batteries (2x AA in the keyboard, 2x AAA in the mouse - not included), I simply plugged in the usb nano receiver, turned on the switch on the reverse of the mouse and within a couple of seconds it was up and running. I'm currently typing this with the keyboard and mouse paired with my Chromebook, so it's not only Windows compatible :)Build quality is much better than you'd expect for the price. On first use the keys felt a tiny bit 'mushy' and a couple of times it failed to pick up letters, but after a few hours typing these issues were no longer apparent - so don't be put off by initial impressions. The hotkeys at the top (standard fare, browser, email, audio and so) are a nice addition - although I would have liked to have seen the calculator added to the list. Surprisingly, the majority of these keys also worked on ChromeOS as well as Windows. The mouse feels great to use, and has a DPI switch to set the speed. No complaints here at all. When it drops into sleep mode after being left a few minutes idle, it wakes again immediately upon moving the roller wheel or clicking a button. I would have preferred a matte finish so that it was less of a finger-print magnet, but of course this minor personal preference doesn't affect its otherwise perfect performance. The only faults I can pick (and they are *very* minor) are that only the mouse has an on-off switch, so I'm not sure how much additional battery the keyboard will drain when not used (waiting to be woken), and the keys and mouse clicks are a little noisy compared to more expensive alternatives. Oh, and the glaring omission of a caps-lock light. However, for the price this really is a fantastic purchase and great value. In conclusion, this wireless set has made my day job a lot less fiddly when working away from my desk, and both are very comfortable to use on a daily basis. If you are looking for a decent, cheap and frustration-free wireless mouse and keyboard combo, then I'd recommend giving this one a shot.Comes with 18+6 months warranty.

Classic TeckNet being surprisingly good quality at such a low price.
Easily as good as keyboards twice the price, this set is a decent cheap alternative. If you’re using these all day everyday then you might have a few niggles - the keyboard doesn’t sit very angled, even with the legs folded out it still sits quite flat against the desk. The fold out legs don’t have rubber feet either so it’s getting it’s only traction from the two under the wrist rest - most of the time not a problem though. The mouse is fine and does the job pretty well - precision is adequate and its light and manoeuvrable.I tend to believe that you get what you pay for and to an extent this is true here - the build quality isn’t the same as the Microsoft Surface keyboard or the Logitech MX Master mouse for example but together they are 10 times the cost than this so they should be better built! Having said the above, this set is certainly not poorly made or feels cheap - the keyboard keys are nice to hit and typing is comfortable and frustration free. Having a single USB dongle for both the keyboard and mouse is great and frees up your USB ports.Separate dedicated media keys are a massive bonus for me as the vast majority of modern keyboards, especially wireless ones, combine F-Keys (F1, F2 etc) and media keys together meaning you have to choose which you use more often and have them as the default, using the function key to access the other thing that key does. I use F-keys all day though so having to hold the function key every time I wanted to pause music is a real ball ache. This is one of the few keyboards with completely separate media keys and I love it.Basically this is a great example of TeckNet doing what they do best - producing a perfectly adequate product at a fraction of the cost of competitors. It’s not top of the range but that’s more than compensated in the low cost and it’s a perfectly comfortable user experience and ideal for replacing your current wired desktop. If you’re in any doubt just do it and give it a whirl.TeckNet as a company are great and their customer service is historically extremely good.
