I brought these pegs for my wife's birthday, I was somewhat confused by her initial disappointment when she opened them at breakfast but she soon mustered a smile when she saw that I had put a wash load on for her so it would only be a matter of minutes until she could give her pressie a good test drive. Since these pegs have been in our lives I feel like the whole family have benefited, due to the soft nature of the clamping area we no longer get those annoying little washing line/peg shaped bumps in our clothes like we used to when she deployed a cheaper inferior peg about her duties. The pegs strength and resilience was tested when I put together a little experiment. I asked my daughter to invite 10 friends round to a barbecue party and when they arrived I had arranged several different sized garments hanging from the line. I urged the girls to create a stiff breeze by blowing in unison at each garment. At one point it was touch and go whether or not a pair of my underpants may fall from the line and become patio fodder but that one little peg held firm. At the other end of the scale I had 3 pegs on a bath town and got the kids to synchronise breaths again, I think if the pegs could have they would have laughed at the meer suggestion that they would relinquish their vice like grip on the towel. One consideration I would level with the consumer is that you keep them away from any pets. For example, my dog Didier got hold of one of the pegs and conducted his own little durability test and he certainly showed that peg who was boss. I don't think this was any fault of the peg though, more that he is a bit of a rascal. That will be the only peg test he will be doing after the stern ticking-off and period in seclusion he received as a result. Would recommend

Our cheap plastic clothes pegs have an irritating habit of cracking up when I put them on the line, becoming unusable. So we bought these as substitutes and they seem a lot more reliable.

Pegs are good, be careful you don't lopsided them, when putting clothes on line. But they are good

For the money great value, pretty strong grip as well - the wind swirls a bit in our garden so no clothes have found themselves next door now!

Easy to use, good grip in windy weather, store easily in peg bag. Also useful when new for clipping on crisp/ nut bags to keep fresh.

How bad are these? Bad enough that a fully functional adult with a busy life bothered to come and leave a review. Presumably to save 0.01p in plastic per unit the manufacturer has cheaped out on the shape of these and made the ‘bearing’ surface where the two pegs meet a thin edge rather than a flat. The consequence is they are really unstable and fall to pieces really easily. I only bought these a couple of weeks ago and I’m pulling pieces of pegs out the bag in every handful.
