Valve Steam Deck,HDMI, 64 GB, Black

I have to admit that nowadays there are devices out there that have better specs with a similar price range but the steam deck is still a solid option. I bought mine used, I don't remember the seller but the steam deck came with its original case and charger. Both the console and the case had a weird smell tho. I still use it almost everyday, I don't play with my PS5 anymore, I'm mostly on my steam deck. The best part of the steam deck is that it doesn't run on windows, but on a read-only version of arch Linux called "steam os". This can be a huge factor for someone looking to buy one, so watch reviews first. Is super rare that a game running with proton (the compatibility layer to run windows games on the steam deck) doesn't work, there are games that even perform better than windows itself.

I had an expectation that the lower capacity steam deck would be glacially slow and only useful to people who played low overhead games in steam. I couldn’t have been more happily proved wrong. This thing is great. Let’s just go through the basics. Omg it’s huge! Yeah! It’s not just pro controllers that everyone pays more for on their consoles, it’s has everything. Full size joysticks… check… capacitive joysticks… yup… dual trackpads? What? Does it come with free lambo keys? Full size dpad and button set? Yup… l1,2,3,4 and r1,2,3,4 … yup… and if your finger are big old meat puppets… it still totally works. Blows the switch out of the water in control. Oh, but it’s steam… it’s complicated… nah… it’s as easy as gamepass and easier than whatever tier of psplus sony is slinging right this second. But it’s not powerful… log onto steam and look at all the great on deck verified titles. Let me break this down…. In general it’s more powerful than a switch. For controls, it’s even better than a PS5. The only way you will feel that this system is slow is directly comparing a game on one platform to the same game on the steam deck. The fact that the other platform will only play one game better really needs to be addressed. This system is absolutely worth the money. Start out with the free aperture desk job game from the steam store and move into some classics like portal before checking how long you have enjoyed the steam deck for, then consider if it was worth it. For me, this system is completely worth it.

It was a gift for my nephew and he loves it. A very well crafted handheld device with amazing hardware.

Been a year since I have it. Still works awesome it came sealed and in the original packaging and I also use I to work as a miniature computer . It's great 👍

Resistente y un buen rendimiento para videojuegos AAA

For the price, this thing is awesome. I just wish i knew about the oled before i bought this because the oled has all the things i wanted upgraded in this lcd version. The screen colors are not as vibrant or vivid as an oled (it only has 80% of sRGB colors) and the oled has 1tb of ssd, which is a must if you plan on playing those big memory heavy games like doom eternal. The mini-sd card is too slow to play a game like that, i tried. This thing has a desktop mode that allows you to modify everything for free, thank you linux. It is a great emulator for older games if you are into that. The console feels great in my hands, but i do not like the touch pads too much, maybe if i could shut them off somehow because my thumb sometimes touches the upper corner of the pads and it does a fast selection or movement that ruins the experience. If you plan on hooking it up to your tv, purchasing the dock is a must. The dongle attachment approach is horrible and my steam deck fell on the ground twice before i bought the dock. Also, if you buy the grip case for this thing, it will not fit in the dock. The dock plug will also not plug into the console with the grip case on either, maybe a mini usb-c extender will work. I say all this to say, i love this thing, i just wish there were more options and modifications/upgrades for the hardware. I would hate having to trash, stow it in a closet or sell it to keep up-to-date with the fast changing software out here. Oh and not all games will run on it because they may have external account log-ins you need to play their games. I should also mention this because my brother didn’t know anything about the Steam store, you must open a steam account and add your games to it or purchase them from the site. I’ve had mine since the beginning of Valve Corp, but not many people have heard about it, i guess.

The lcd steam deck is a impressive piece of gaming hardware for what is does and is capable of. 14,000 games verified plug and play . Infinite number of old and new game titles. If you can do the technical footwork with proton and wine emulators Linux is not that scary or confusing. It's basically just like android operating systems. Great for road trips and long flights . Battery life is about 1 hour 30 minutes on more graphic intensive games . Think red dead redemption 2/ gta5 On 2d games like vampire survivers etc 4 hours Battery life . I bought a Sambert 1tb ssd . To replace the stock 64 gig one . Swapping out the old ssd for the new one wasn't hard . Is does help if you have previous experience with building and maintaining computer equipment. The big thing for why I bought it is that you Can carry your whole steam library with you . And play at least 3/4 of it . Recommend a big 40 watt battery bank for long sessions.

Comprar esta consola fue una de las mejores decisiones que pude tomar, ya llevo unos años con ella y es una plataforma genial para jugar. su portabilidad es excelente, podría decir que su batería podría ser mejor pero sabiendo gestionar su potencia eso no es un gran problema, al contrario es una consola que incluso te ayudara a aprender e introducirte en el mundo gaming mas afondo . cuando la tomas en tus manos se siente la calidad. Además el olor que sale de su ventilador es riquísimo jajaja, ya sabrás de lo que hablo cuándo la compres.

Firstly I would like to thank the seller "Tech-retail" for sending a brand new genuine console and the packaging was amazing. Steam deck is awesome when it comes to playing games. There are many games like WWE 2k22 , which has been marked as "unplayable", however most of them actually works and very much playable with a bit of tweaking with the settings. I had a Nintendo switch, xbox series s and PS4 , yet I went for this because I wanted to play AAA games on the go. But there r few things I would like to tell my fellow Indian gamers who r thinking of buying this console. You will get a charger (usa based) which is not supported in our normal plug, even if some of you are thinking that you will use powebank to charge the console, but most powerbank are usually of 18 watt or 20 watts. So when I plug in my powerbank , i get a pop up msg on the console that it is much lower than the recommended level of 45 watts. And the console wasn't charging at all, so i had to went and buy a 45watt charger which cost me 2,990 rupees from a local store . So keep that in mind. Please arrange a 45 watt charger or powerbank in order to charge the console. Hope it helps someone. I have also created a Facebook group to help the new owners of the steam deck here in India to help them with emulation or how to play non steam games and windows game. PRIMERA IMPRESIÓN: excelente calidad de materiales la carcasa tiene una textura muy bonita se siente muy bien y luce precioso el color negro ademas la maleta para guardar es ideal tiene espacio para el cargador, ya instalé 3 juegos y la comodidad en sus controles me acomodó de maravilla ya que yo tengo manos relativamente grandes y con la Nintendo switch termino con mucho cansancio en largas sesiones en cambio con la steam deck se me pasan sin problema. Estoy esperando conseguir un ssd de 1tb, por lo pronto de los 64gb me quedan 23gb. Recomendable comprar si tienes duda déjate de ellas y adquiere este dispositivo. UN MES DE USO: la consola ha respondido muy bien ya le instalé un ssd de 1tb, recomiendo ir por el formato 2230 ya que el siguiente tamaño a pesar de poder instalarlo, un chip queda obstruido y hay que revisar que el pad térmico haga contacto de alguna manera. La instalación del sistema en el nuevo ssd usando una memoria usb con un adaptador tipo c fue sencilla y no tuve complicaciones después. Solo lamento no haber comprado antes esta consola me gusta mucho su rendimiento en juegos demandantes y en juegos ligeros es la solución perfecta, coloqué una imagen en la reseña con los que ya tengo instalados y adicionalmente logre cargar casi 100 juegos de mis respaldos de consolas de antaño quedando 600gb libres por utilizar. Reitero si tienen duda en adquirirla despejenlas todas y denle "agregar al carrito" no se arrepentirán. He de decir que me ha resultado más fácil jugar los títulos que ya tenia en mi biblioteca de steam y los había dejado pendientes. Gracias

Its been 2 years since i got this product, its still my fav gaming purchase of all , totally worth and i am still excited to play on it everyday. This is not for people who expect 60 fps on AAA , this is for someone who would enjoy their AAA games on a vacation or a random gaming session in a tent after ur hike. With mods like lossless scaling and frame generation with decky loader , it truly enhances the AAA experience with a constant 60 fps. Just get it guys !!

Love it. Better than Switch if you want AAA games. SteamDeck community is great. Also runs as a mini PC.
