Worked like a charm with mods
Bought this set to replace my father in laws set that he used back in the 70s. His set had 5 foot long fiberglass rods with the same screw type method. Just like in the 70s, you had to be careful when installing communication wire with this style. You CAN NOT cram, jam, force the rod. If it gets stuck, pull back and re insert. If you have to, jiggle it...... Yes, like other reviews have stated, there rods will unscrew from each other when in the wall. That is how the tips end up breaking from bends Be proactive. What I did was take 4 rods, and created 1 four foot section. I used clear epoxy on the threads and thighten them snugged. Then slipped over heat wrap and to help reinforce the connection. Obviously these sections are permanent which was my goal. When you connect each 4 foot section, just use a small amount of duct tape after you snuggle them up. Worked great for as I needed to run another Cat 6 line and lost my tracer line (Old trick; run a durable string line with your cable if you plan to revisit the area in the future so you don't need to redo the rod) All in all, this was an extreme value for the money. Sometimes you just need to be creative with the product. Saved $ as usual DYI vs having someone do it.

Professional Grade Quality - Essential for Long Wire Pulls
As a professional handyman, I’ve used many wire pulling kits, and this 45FT set stands out for its balance of flexibility and rigidity. The 3/16" fiberglass rods are sturdy enough to push through insulated walls without buckling, yet flexible enough to navigate slight bends. The threaded brass connectors are well-machined and don't catch or strip easily. I especially appreciate the glow-in-the-dark feature; it makes a huge difference when fishing wires in dark crawl spaces or ceiling joists. The included accessories (hook, ring, and flexible search head) cover almost every scenario I encounter on the job. For the price and the 45-foot total length, this is a solid investment for any toolbox. 5 stars.

Cheap Brass equals major headaches.
Maybe I asked more than this set was capable of, but I have two pieces of it in a permanent grave in my wall cavity. Was only fishing a wire from a switch box to the attic of a single story rancher with 8 ft ceilings. Not even 5 ft. If you bend the rod, the fiberglass held up fine, but all the male brass threaded ends snapped when bending the rod to fish it through the wall. Even after sitting for in the wall while I was hooking the wire to pull, it just snapped. So I went and bought the Milwaukee set at a much higher price, but this set cost me more in hours and in frustration. Do not recommend, buy a better electrician grade set. It's not worth the hassle.

Good for the Price, But Don't Expect a Jedi Master
Let's be clear: the FTIHTRY 14FT Fiberglass Running Rods are a solid value for the weekend warrior or DIYer. If you've got a small project, like running some speaker wire through a couple of walls or adding a new outlet, these will absolutely get the job done without breaking the bank. The rods are bright green, which is a nice touch, and the various attachments are a good inclusion for the price. However, if you're a professional who needs a tool that can handle constant abuse, you might want to spend a little more. The connections, while they work, feel a bit less durable than some of the pricier brands. I wouldn't want to put a ton of strain on them, and I could see a couple of the joints snapping if you hit a truly stubborn snag. They're flexible, but maybe a little too flexible for pushing through a long, congested run. Think of it this way: this is your go-to tool for a quick fix or a simple project. It's the reliable sidekick, not the hero of your toolkit. For that, it's a solid four stars. It gets the job done, but it's not going to wow you with its sheer power.

Great fish-tape tool at a great price!!! 😄
This is going to come in very handy! The tool seems to be quite made well. All of the threads are burr-free and are easy to connect and secure all of the parts together well. The various cable connection tips will work well for a variety of things. There is a magnetic tip, as well. This is great for retrieving dropped nuts and bolts in an engine compartment, or from deep within a wall cavity. The ability to get a longer reach by adding multiple extensions makes my telescoping magnet’s reach pale in comparison. While the magnetic tip is small, meaning it won’t hold a great deal of weight, it’s still a very useful addition to this tool. The plastic cylinder that keeps all of the individual components in one place, has a friction cap on each end that fit very tightly, so the chance of them falling off and spilling parts everywhere, is not a concern at all. Overall, and especially considering the price, I highly recommend this fish-tape tool. It’ll be an often used addition to my tool collection. 😄

Inexpensive, but not represented well by product photos
It's an okay set of sticks, I don't see them holding up to a lot of use, but I don't plan on using them as much as trades or LV techs might. The big issue upon receiving is the container, it's a thick walled cardboard tube, not clear plastic like pictured, with poor fitting plastic caps on both ends, which will easily open and spill contents. The rods themselves are not the high vis green like pictured, much closer to Crayola green, so easy use in dark spaces (most of them) is significantly reduced. The 45ft kit has a lot of rods, and they're relatively short, so the lengths you can set are numerous, which is helpful in cramped spaces. After a few uses, I've noticed that some of the treads are not well made, and many of the posts cannot be fully screwed in as a result. This is approximately 10% of the threads, as far as I can tell.

Made Wire Pulling Fast, Easy, and Frustration-Free
I’m extremely impressed with this wire pulling kit. The 45-foot fiberglass rods are sturdy yet flexible enough to navigate tight bends and long conduit runs without snapping or losing shape. The glow rods are a great touch—they make it much easier to see what you're doing in low-light spaces like attics, crawlspaces, or inside walls. The included attachments really set this kit apart. With multiple tips, hooks, and connectors, I was able to handle a variety of wiring situations without needing extra tools. Everything threads together securely, and the connections feel solid during use. This kit saved me a lot of time compared to traditional fish tape. It’s much easier to control, especially when working through insulation or complex pathways. Whether you're running electrical wire, network cable, or speaker wire, this tool makes the job smoother and less frustrating. Overall, this is a high-quality, well-thought-out kit that delivers excellent performance for both DIYers and professionals. Highly recommended.

Perfect
I recently purchased the FTIHTRY 22FT Fiberglass Running Electrical Wire Cable Glow Rods Wire Pulling Kit, and I have to say it's been a game-changer for my electrical work. This kit comes with 22 feet of durable fiberglass rods and 8 different attachments, making it an incredibly versatile tool for running wires and cables. The first thing that impressed me was the quality of the fiberglass rods. They are sturdy, yet flexible, allowing me to navigate through tight spaces and around corners with ease. The glow feature is a fantastic addition, making it much easier to work in dimly lit areas or inside walls where visibility is limited. The rods are also marked with length indicators, which is a handy feature for measuring distances while working. The variety of attachments included in the kit is impressive. From hooks and magnets to a mini flashlight attachment, these accessories make it possible to tackle a wide range of wire pulling tasks. I found the hook attachments particularly useful for grabbing and guiding wires through conduits and tight spaces. One standout feature of this kit is the fish tape wire puller. It's a great addition for those situations where the fiberglass rods alone may not suffice. The combination of the rods and the wire puller gives you a comprehensive set of tools for almost any wire installation job. Overall, the FTIHTRY 22FT Fiberglass Running Electrical Wire Cable Glow Rods Wire Pulling Kit is a valuable addition to any electrician or DIY enthusiast's toolkit. It's well-made, versatile, and the glow feature adds a level of convenience that's hard to beat. This kit has made my wire-pulling tasks much more manageable, and I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable wire-pulling solution.

Be careful
These seem good but they aren’t as robust as I’d have hope. Broke one on my first try using them. No way to contact the seller to complain.
