CTEK 56-629 Indicator eyelet M6: practical LED indicator for immediate indication of battery charge levels

Very pleased with this product. Fits very easy with eyelets that simply fit onto the battery bolt connections then its simply tiewrap the cable to the frame to leave the end connector where you like. It's a standard Ctek connector that you plug the charger into with the addition of flashing lights to indicate the state of charge in the battery via a traffic light type of indication ie green good, red bad etc. I have positioned mine so the flashing can be seen at all times, it is quite bright and also has the advantage of looking like an alarm indicator which cannot be a bad thing, very easily seen especially at night. Excellent cannot fault this item at all.

I had one of these before but it got lost in a house move. It’s a great add on and means I can connect my car battery without opening the bonnet of my garaged car. Simple device but works well

I've fitted one of these to my car and so far it's worked really well. It stays on 'green' for up to a week or so after the (new EFB) battery has been fully recharged, before going to amber. I find it sometimes goes to amber when the courtesy lights are on but then reverts to green a few minutes after they've switched off. So far, I haven't seen it go to red. The only problem I had with it was that the nuts on the bolts of my battery terminal clamps are designed so that they don't come off, which makes fitting the eyelets a bit of a nightmare! My previous car battery suddenly went flat even though it always seemed to recharge really quickly. I eventually worked out that the battery capacity had dropped. Hopefully, having one of these will make it easy to spot that the battery capacity is dropping. It's a handy reminder that the battery needs recharging, as tends to happen if you do a low mileage. Much handier than fiddling around with a voltmeter, just open the bonnet and look for the flashing light! I've got a compatible charger, so I can plug the charger in without needing to fiddle around with battery terminal clamps. Overall, a good purchase.

I bought this to check the state of a Gel 7.2ah battery on a piece of equipment without having to plug the CTEK charger in. Works well for that. However the LED flashes very brightly which would have prevented me from wiring it directly to the battery if I had needed to. In a garage, the brightness would be beneficial, but in a dark space, such as inside a car or in living space as in my case, the brightness may be an annoyance.

This product is easy to fit and gives an indication of battery condition without lifting the bonnet. My only problem with it is the rather short lead may noy reach to the edge of the bonnet if your battery is more than 1' away from it. I have had severay of these and 2 of them started to flash red all the time and had to be returned for replacement. Did this through the shop in the UK and waited SEVERAL MONTHS. I eventually contacted the company in Sweden and they sent a replacement. This has happened again and I emailed CTEK i the UK and am still waiting for a reply 2 weeks later - will phone them direct today - getting fed up.

I love my CTEK charger and the comfort indicator is a low cost solution to quickly connecting it as required, especially if your battery is hidden away behind any plastic covers. On one car it always flashes amber rather than green despite the battery being new. Don't know why (may be a duff battery or large current drain from car alarm). Buy without reservation if it is what you are after with a CTEK. (PS good customer service and advice from CTEK is also available).

Attached to battery positive and the other to car body as advised. Was flashing red so attached the charger. LED turned green to show charging. Left it to it. Topped up battery great. Stop Start is now working. So battery must be in better condition. Good it has the fuse in line for protection just in case. Worked great.

Works well, easy to use and very worthwhile. Delivery was quick. Includes comfort battery condition indicators, brings peace of mind in maintaining battery condition on a little used motorcycle during the winter months

Stick one of these little guys off your battery, and you won't struggle with throwing the bike on the tender anymore. Handy little charge indicator built in too that's helpful on cold-starts.
