Can be used on a golf

If it's a 5 door no problems. A 3 door will have to be fed through open rear window

what is max weight i can have on this?

Not sure. But spread correctly. Our 15kg tent was no problem at all...

Could these soft roof bars scratch the car roof paint work?

Theoretically i suppose they could if used constantly. Should be ok if used sporadically.

I have a soft roof box. Will these be ok for it? Thanks

We have a roof bag seems to be fine but will be using it for the first time tomorrow
