A: Operating instructions don't mention upscaling at all.  The model S500 doesn't have HDMI connection but the S700 does. Hope this helps.

**Q: Sorry to sound stupid but does the remote control have a subtitle button?**
A: The remote has a sub-title button on them

**Q: Is there a display on front that shows how many minutes you have been watching a DVD**
A: no, it does not!

**Q: Is there a Scart connection instead of a HDMI one?**
A: The present version has an hdmi socket on the back and hdmi connection is mentioned in the description

My recently purchased Wide Screen DVD player shows movies and programmes as if you were in a large Cinema complex. That Cinema feel is easy re-created by the very sharp and clear picture images that are transmitted when a dvd disc is played in this device. The price was a bargain and an early Christmas present to myself. The Remote Control is familiar and user friendly with no obvious problems. I would definitely recommend this product.
