They prevent soreness, itching and scabbing and certainly Heal the sore a lot quicker than cream. They can cover the unsightly sore and can also be covered with make up. The only problem I found was it left marking from the Cold sore on the Skin after Healing which again can be covered with concealer but this does eventually fade.
