Sony PlayStation 3 Eye Camera Eyetoy (PS3/Windows) (bulk packed)

This product works really well. I wanted a webcam and mic for my Raspberry Pi 3. I didn't need to install any extra software. I simply plugged in and played. This webcam has 4 mics that allows you to use it from across the room, which was really helpful when I made my own Amazon Echo.

Lovely little product, the camera is superb, have not tested the microphone myself, but I am definitely impressed. With a bit of tweaking it's great for PC as well. Came in a clear plastic bag, but it was advertised as bulk packaging, so I have absolutely no issue with that, as Amazon usually packages things safely, and the price is makes this an absolute steal.

Just like the original that i put somewhere when life changed and couldn't find it again.. Probably is exactly the same make and model of device (it seems it) and it worked fine with my wands :) Delivery was great, next day Prime. Packing was thick bubble wrapped in an amazon box but it was well protected and it works so no complaints from me! Who needs instruction and a flashy Sony box anyway? Plug it in and play!

I had planned to make an IR headset that uses this cam, but there is a lot of information about getting the right cam. I just ordered this one, and luckily, it was the one with the removable filter. It was £6.95, then the following day, it has been increased to £7.95, so if I want another, I will be going onto ebay where I can guarantee I get the right type, and it's cheaper. I saw some reviews saying they purchased one of these for an IR project, and another stating that you couldn't remove the filter, so it was a gamble. The filter took around 5 minutes to remove, I put a piece of floppy disk over the sensor and put it back together no problem. All works and have a functioning trackIR for under £10 after getting the drivers. I used HP 940nm 100ma IR LEDs in parallel, then with opentrack software. Compared with a borrowed trackIR, and this performs better (don't get low quality IR LEDs). The serial number on the camera for those that want to check they have the right cam type is: CX0015677, and has a curved lens, not the flat one.

Where else can you get a 188 FPS camera exposed as a normal webcam? This thing is freaking awesome, hopefully this'll spur on development of high speed web cams in the future. It's particularly useful for robotics, automated testing, object recognition and more. Some features: - Windows, Linux and probably Mac (why would you though) - 75 & 188 FPS (tested) - Exposure time not compromised in low light levels (FPS remains steady which is pretty rare for a webcam!) - Remains surprisingly cool - Runs full frame rate over USB 2.0 I highly recommend you get one of these if you need high FPS, for the price it's just excellent value. Sony have done a brilliant job with this.

It's good but you have to parsition it properly for it to work & at proper range of gun... good fast delivery though...

Perfect!..I needed a camera like this for my projects! it's robust, it has a microphone and it has the possibility to put the zoom as well, furthermore was so cheap when I bought it. I use it attached to my raspberry pi for camera vision. The quality of the images are not great, but it was not my first requirement. I would buy it again. P.s. I am not sure if you can use it on windows machines, probably not, do some research first if you need it as webcam for a windows desktop pc (laptops now they all have webcams).

Decent enough camera for the ps3, ordered as we needed it for a certain game, cheap enough and done the job. Not bad

Ich habe die PS3 Cam für Headtracking bei Euro Truck Simulator 2 und Assetto Corsa am PC gekauft. Sie funktioniert auch einwandfrei, nur sind bei mir im Zimmer die Lichtverhältnisse eher suboptimal. Wofür die Videocam aber nichts dafür kann. Daher von mir volle Sterne. Auch der Preis von ca 16 Euro ist mehr als in Ordnung.

Ho regalato questa telecamera ad un amico che utilizza ancora la PS3. Ne sono rimasto soddisfatto, nono stante il prezzo contenuto, accettando il fatto che ha comunque una risoluzione bassa. SPEDIZIONE La spedizione è stata veloce come ci ha sempre abituato Amazon. Inoltre l'articolo è arrivato intatto con scatola chiusa e abbondante avvolgimenti anti urto. QUALITÀ PERCEPITA La webcam è ben realizzata, plastiche morbide belle alla vista e al tatto con una rete metallica che va a proteggere i microfoni. L'obbiettivo è regolabile girandolo. Il cavo inoltre è molto spesso e molto grosso. Proprio un ottima costruzione. FUNZIONI La webcam ha dei microfoni per catturare l'audio. L'audio catturato è molto buono. La webcam ha una risoluzione bassa, però ha un alto refresh di immagine infatti l'immagine catturata è molto fluida. Inoltre i colori sono molto buoni. Viene fornita con una comoda basetta orientabile, molto pesante che la da appoggiare bene a terra. CONCLUSIONI È sicuramente una buona telecamera, ad un prezzo molto contenuto, la risoluzione è bassa, però si vede comunque bene. Anche i microfoni ottimi.

J'avais une hésitation au sujet de l'achat en emballage sachet. Certains commentaires affirmant que le produit n'est pas aussi bon que l'emballage original. Pour moi, il n'y a aucune différence. Et c'est à moitié prix. Cette caméra marche parfaitement sous Linux. Très bonne image. Son de qualité. Installée également sur Raspberry pi 3 avec logiciel de détermination de l'angle du locuteur. Très bons résultats de reconnaissance spatiale. J'en ai acheté une deuxième pour une voiture robot. Très bon produit. J'ai oublié de dire qu'elle marche aussi parfaitement sur PS3. Mais Bon ! ça, on aurait pu le deviner. Mais j'ai déjà eu des surprises avec des produits rejetés car non officiels.

Llegó justo el dia estimado, todo perfecto funciona de lujo. Me costó un poco encontrar los drivers para PC pero por lo demá perfecto, gran compra a un precio insuperable. Actualizo opinión: Después de 4 años funciona como el primer día, la calidad de la imajen sigue siendo igual de mala, pero es lo que había hace 4 años, además yo la compré para un Track-IR y me ha valido y me vale de sobra. Su punto fuerte es el micro, joder! es el mejor micro que he tenido nunca y me siguen diciendo que mi voz se oye muy bien. Puede que a otros les haya salido mal, pero a mi 10/10, esto si que dura y no el conejo de duracel.
