Amazing product!
I'm really happy with this mirror dash cam. The video quality is clear both day and night, and the mirror display looks great. Installation was straightforward, and everything works as expected. I really like the built-in safety features, like lane departure warning and forward collision alerts, which give extra confidence while driving. Overall, it's great value for the price, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable mirror camera.

Great device. Best support from Pelsee
I bought the Pelsee P12 Pro to use on an RV. The installation process was easy and without any issues. On the first major trip across the country, it was not comfortable at all. The device powered off (or entered into standby mode) ever few minutes. I had to keep it awake by touching the screen constantly, it was driving me nuts. I even thought it was the SD card getting full, because it was constantly recording, and caused the system to power off. When the device was ON, the image was crisp and without any lag. The brightness is good, and the ADAS was working great. So, on the first evening i emailed Pelsee asking for help on the power off issue and the always recording function. In the morning i already had a reply from support apologising for the inconvenience and offering help in a clear instruction and also a screenshot on how to deactivate the "auto power off", and explaining the always-recording function is like this by design, but asking me if i preferred it to be set out differently, as they could manage it somehow. In a matter of seconds i found the setting they suggested - for which i searched on the day before, without success, that's on me - and tested it. The P12 Pro worked without depowering for an hour until i switched it off! And now that i know that the always recording function was not the issue, getting the SD card full, I'm OK with the device always recording. This is not my first mirror, but it is by far, the best i had. The previous ones were from the other side of the world, with sketchy firmwares, even some translation errors, as we all know. The support given to this issue was quite a surprise for me, as it was fast and effective. I ordered this from the US Amazon all the way to Portugal, because of the many reviews i saw online and i don't regret it. As I said to Pelsee support, in my opinion, the auto power off should be preset to OFF instead of 5 min, as this is a rearview mirror, and should be ON as long as the vehicle is ON, but other people may think differently. TL;DR: Great device with excellent image and even better support. The problem I had was that I hadn't read the manual.

Great Support, Easy install, Good Product.
I am new to the Dashcam Mirrors, so I purchased the Pelsee P12 Pro 4K dashcam. I love this device. Easy setup. However, I did come across where the camera stopped working. I contacted Pelsee support and they (Jasmine) were amazing. Not sure if she was an AI bot or a real person, either way, the support was the bees-knees. After connecting everything up, I went into calibrating all the features. All was easy, however, the support videos on the site kept showing the next model up and I thought those features were on mine because the manual did not specify what you see during the calibration. After sorting that out, I love this product. I would say it is a very good entry level product. Once you get used to it and want to upgrade with the bells and whistles, then do it. I purchased the hardwire kit, just didnโt install it yet. Will update the review when that is done. My only recommendation is for the Pelsee company to put up product specific videos and what to expect when going through those menus and calibration. I recommend the same for any manuals as well. It would save a lot of time.

Great Customer Service
Really enjoy this dash cam. Initial setup was super easy with the exception of routing cables through the car which would be difficult with any camera so not an issue. User interface is super easy Company took recommendations of previous reviews because when I researched it someone had said they think the screen should default to not turn off which it was set to when I purchased so thatโs cool. Picture is very good. Camera has zoom and not zoom setting. License plates are not super easy to read but if stopped at a light your could. Night vision is pretty good. Reason for 4 stars I wish the reverse camera cable was longer. Also wish it came with the supplies to tap into reverse light. I had to be cut and splice rather than a cool tap device. Customer service - 5 stars because as soon as I started driving the camera failed. Emailed back and forth with pelsee over a couple days and then sent me a full replacement and only required the head unit returned because I told them I had all the cabling installed and they understood the work that took. So in the end it all works and very satisfied with the product and company.

Happy Customer
Note: this review is for the Pelsee P12 Pro, not the Pelsee P12 Pro MAX. The 'Max' version is about $100 more but has the ability to view/download recordings to your phone. (Although you CAN view recordings ON THE screen...My non-Max unit requires you to pull out the SIM card and view recordings on a device if you need to share them. To some that will be important. To me, I only intend to share recordings of incidences as needed. For me, not worth the extra $100. My wife had a vehicle stop in the middle of the road in front of her. She stopped about two car lengths back but before she could turn her wheel and go around them, they reversed back into her! Fortunately, the driver and his passengers admitted fault. My wife, who was alone, could have very well been blamed because it looked like she had rear ended them. This brush with a potential he-said she-said made be get this camera for her car and now, mine also! If you're shopping for these, you can see how many there are to choose from. I preferred this one because I didn't like how most others were a separate piece of equipment mounted next to your mirror. You barely know this one is even there. It records continuous front and back while I leave the screen on 'rear view' like a regular mirror. I did not activate the gps or 'smart-driving assistance' as these are already present in my vehicles. Now, pros and cons, starting with pros:; -----The rear field of view was a nice surprise. The rear camera picks up vehicles passing me on the side all the way up to when I see them in my peripheral vision. Wasn't expecting that. I rarely need my side mirrors at all. Very nice. -----The recording qualities are very good. The rear camera is less quality but still very good. Some have complained about night glare, but I don't see it as a concern. (The screen is either a camera view, or, when you turn the screen off, it acts as a regular mirror. When you do that at night, the glare is still there so, I don't quite understand the complaints. And yes, it records BOTH cams even when screen is turned to mirror mode. I checked) -----I have a 'home-link' system on my original mirror with the buttons on the bottom that work my garage doors. These are still accessible and usable with the system mounted on my original mirror. -----You can turn 'off' the voice recording and it will stay off. You don't have to keep turning it off every time. Cons: -----I left off a star on the screen rating because it is a little slow to the touch. I suppose it is not the quality of a phone screen but what do you expect for a hundred bucks? -----Navigating the set up was a little tricky as directions are not the best and obviously written for different models with different menus, but, it's not that bad and anyone proficient at working their phone will figure it out. -----Sunny Texas days make the reflection from the rear window do a 'double-image' (One of what the rear camera sees and one of what the reflection is.). Slightly irritating but not that bad. -----Objects in rear-camera view are closer than you think! That took a little getting used to but, the alternative is to go to reflection-mode. Then, you lose the peripheral advantage of the rear camera. You get used to it quickly, so, not that bad of a con. I definitely recommend.

Great Upgrade for Older Vehicles
Great Upgrade for Older Vehicles Overall: 1. Great price that adds both front and rear cameras to include advanced driving assistance features built in. Lastly it provides for continuous recording of both cameras to the provided SD-card. 2. Instructions were comprehensive and there are numerous videos online that give detailed instructions on the productsโ features and their usage. 3. Well packaged with all wiring and hardware needed (except for connector to backup wire, if you wish to install that feature). Thoughts: 1. Planning is key for installation (in my case, 2007 Honda Ridgeline). Initially, I was going to install above my license plate however I quickly determined that the orientation of the rear camera is set to its casing (canโt flip vertically), the spacing of the unit would not allow for the license plate to set in the proper location (one could move the mounts lower butโฆ). What I decided that since I use my Ridgeline as a truck (move dirt/gravel, buy wood sheets, etc.) it would inevitably get damaged when doing these things! Lastly, the provided wire would have been too short to get from rear to windshield (yes, I tried), requiring me to purchase the available 33-foot cord. Result: Installed the unit on the bed roof visor (plastic cavity with access to interior via roof brake light) and ran along the upper trim around the passenger side to the mirror location. Plenty of wire with some to spare. Same with plug connector, ran down passenger side, behind glove box and reached the passenger-side plug comfortably. 2. Understanding technology. After installing and using, the ACAS works great with a little tweaking but was having a hard time โseeingโ with the system on. Initially thought it was glare (installed a shroud to block lighting behind), shaded rear window โ no help! Went online and a user (forgot username to give credit, sorry) finally explained the issue as this: Think of this like a tablet, when outdoors you have to increase the device lighting to see in the sun however this device also serves as a mirror so get are seeing the reflection along with the display and your eyes are fighting for focus since both are displayed and overlap. My solution: (1) Use as a backup camera and then shut off and use mirror as a mirror (very clear, bigger than my OEM). All ACAS functions and the recordings are still employed, you get the beeps/warnings as if the system is being displayed. OR (2) Purchase an anti-glare film that will essentially eliminate the unit as a rear-view mirror and leave the display constantly on and use it in that mode only. Sorry for the long post. This was my first unit, I will be installing a second one in my 2009 Honda CRV. This is a solid, complete system and once I understood the technology, I am comfortable using the system. I highly recommend, great investment! A+++++

Great purchase!
I love it! Setup was easy! Hiding the wires took some time (maybe 20 minutes), but was well worth it and fairly easy. I received the installation kit with it (highly recommend) that allowed me to plug it right into the fuse box. One plugs into constant power and one plugs into power that starts with the car. Iโm not great at car electronics, but it was still pretty straightforward. I talked to a friend who knows a bit about car installations, just to confirm which fuse slots to plug into, but otherwise it was a total breeze and it works great. The image is excellent! I used some heavy duty, double sided tape to mount the rear view camera just inside the life gate looking out the back window. The night vision image is incredible! Itโs significantly clearer than any normal rear view mirror would be. You can turn off the power and use it as an normal rear view mirror, just know that the angle to use it as an unpowered rearview mirror will then give you a double image due to the reflection if you turn the power back on again without readjusting it. The field of view is great as well as adjustable and while the touchscreen is a little clunky, itโs effective. I added a 128 Gb card to mine, because I was able to get a couple for like $10. I donโt actually do anything with the recordings, but itโs nice to know the video is there if something comes up. Iโm pretty sure it picked up a minor weather related accident behind me earlier today, which was interesting because it literally told me on the screen that a minor collision was picked up on the rear view camera and the car had to be well over 100 feet behind me. All in all two thumbs up! Even my father was impressed by this tech, and heโs not easily impressed.

Terrible Mirror Dash Cam -that does what it wants
Pros: Very easy to install. In fact, if you just needed to get it working as quickly as possible, you could hang the display on your mirror, plug the power plug into the socket, toss the rear camera wire to the back, stick the camera up with the adhesive strip, plug it in, and youโre up and running. I suspect you could get it up and working in ten minutes or less. Chances are, youโre going to want to tuck the wires away here and there, plug in the GPS module and so on, so you could probably have it fully functioning in less than an hour, tops. It has a beautiful, wide touch screen display. The operation menu is intuitive, making set up and operation easy. The voice command feature is useful to change camera views, audio on/off, and taking a photo without having to touch anything. If anything goes unexpectedly with the unit while driving, you can simply turn off the display and use it as a normal reflective mirror until you can get the issue sorted out. Cons: Probably the greatest โConโ with this mirror-cam is that the adjustable range of the front camera (on the back side of the mirror display) is too limited (left/right, up/down). When you move the mirror display to adjust for glare, the range of camera movement doesnโt permit optimal adjustment for the front camera recording. Another serious โConโ is that the display functions alternatively as a mirror when turned off. You might think thatโs a good thing in case thereโs an issue, and yes, thatโs a good thing, except, the fact that itโs a mirror lends to constant reflection from many angles, obscuring the rear-view mirror display such that there often ends up being no rearview at all while youโre driving. Thereโs almost no adjustment angle that consistently prevents mirror reflections interfering with the display. The 4K display mode doesnโt work with any of the โSmart Drivingโ features. The Parking Monitor and Time-lapse Recording features require additional hardware. Thereโs no information on what additional hardware is required or how to get it. Review Update: Two issues I've identified since my original review: 1. While driving, the cam misinterprets conversation in the vehicle and takes inappropriate action on a regular basis. It has switched to front camera while driving multiple times. One time, it simply turned itself off. I've turned off the voice command feature and it hasn't happened since. However, that's yet feature that is unreliable, and therefore unusable. 2. The GPS feature frequently cannot find the satellites necessary to function. It spends a lot of time just displaying the compass points in a clockwise direction with no GPS information available. And then, on a point I mentioned in my original review, the mirror cam was given a reflective surface presumably so it could be used as an actual mirror in case the cam stopped working. We've discovered that on sunny days, the ambient reflections make the display almost unusable. These three issues make me now say, you should look for another solution to your camera/monitoring needs. Performance update 2025-06-06. After ten months (today), the device went dark and no longer works. I do not recommend this rear view camera.

Great Dash Cam with Excellent Customer Support
Iโve been using the Pelsee P12 Pro mirror dash cam for a while now, and overall itโs been a solid experience. The video quality is clear (front and rear), the display is sharp, and features like night vision and parking mode work well in daily use. Installation was straightforward, and it adds a lot of convenience and safety while driving. I did face an issue with the rear camera wire later on, but the support team was responsive and helpful in resolving it, which I really appreciate. Overall, a reliable dash cam with good features and strong customer support. Worth considering if youโre looking for a mirror dash cam setup.

Bought this to try, as a driving instructor.
To start - as an instructor, low sun at this time of the year (autumn or indeed, spring) in the morning or evening is a total pain in the rear end. However, as I have to have a rear view mirror to see behind, I can't use the sun blind to help as this also causes the rear view mirror to be hidden. There was also a Dash Cam (not going to mention them by name (rhymes with 'text' and 'lace'), which needed replacing as it was complete $ยฃ!^. I saw another car on the road with a camera mirror and thought "Aha!". So off I start a searching for a rear view camera mirror and after trawling through Amazon review after Amazon review, I land on the Pelsee P12 Pro. It arrived and, whilst I knew it needed something to hold onto (it normally replaces the actual mirror in your car, in normal use), my little suction cup mirror was not up to the task of holding on to the Pelsee. So, a quick trip to Halfords and armed with a bigger suction mirror, proceeded to install the Pelsee. This was fairly painless as there is a device to push cables under the trim and it works well. I installed it as an instructor mirror to start with as I wanted to see how it would look and how it would perform. After a couple of emails back and forth with the amazing support team at Pelsee, I was able to set it up so that I had a view of the rear as I would with a regular mirror. This week, off I go with new electronic mirror in situ and so the testing started. Keep in mind that this review is from the perspective of a driving instructor, NOT my customers (who love the Pelsee it by the way). The width of the rear camera is excellent. It almost reaches the width of my door mirrors and allows me to see EVERYTHING behind, including what it right under the rear window. Night vision is also excellent and street lights bring the road alive. Obviously, there isn't anything one can do about country roads that are unlit. Damn you physics! As mentioned above, I had intended to then replace the internal rear view mirror with this but.. tiny points preclude me doing this - the width of the view of the camera means that objects such as other vehicles appear a little more distant than they really are if looking in a real, flat mirror. That makes judging for my customers, for example, when slowing down, a little more difficult. And that, is the only reason why I won't place it in the middle. For everything else, it is perfect. So, for other driving instructors, if you want to try this as a way of getting WAY more view of the rear of your vehicle, this Pelsee P12 Pro is 100% the way to go. It hasn't solved my being blinded by the sun, but it gives, by itself, more ability to duck behind the camera and not be blinded. As an experienced driver, I have quickly become accustomed to the distance objects behind are and that is no bother at all. Added bonus? It's a dash cam front and rear. I have tried using the memory card to read files. This is a problem for Mac users as it appears to be formatted in NTFS (a Windows file format for storage devices). I am currently installing some software to see if that allows access to the card and will update this review with my findings. So, for Windows users, I am expecting that all is OK, for Mac users, at the moment, not so much, which makes the Dash Cam part of this mirror, a little more of an annoyance when you want to use footage for lessons or to report some seriously suspect driving. Despite the file system problem, I already would not want to be without the mirror feature of this device and I am now on the look out for a proper method of attaching it to the Dashboard of the car so that I can use the sun blin. It's electronic, it can go anywhere. How's that for a feature. 100% recommended for driving instructor use if you are interested.
