Bought this set of two bulbs, one for my lounge table lamp and one for the bedroom. They are excellent quality and a very good price for two bulbs. The two little remotes are great and work well with a decent range. They come complete with battery. Control the lamp or ceiling light from your armchair or bed. A nice selection of different colours from one single bulb to create atmospheric lighting, they are also dimmable, and have a flash and smooth colour change function You can also switch on and off from the light switch if required. Because they are 10w led they give a nice bright white light if required, equivalent to an old style 60w bulb I think. Because they are led they save power and don't generate heat, both of which are plus points. The materials seem very good, the bulbs have like a stainless steel finish case which looks good if the bulb is partly visible in a lamp for example. A plus for me was the traditional U.K. B22 bayonet fitting, which fits standard ceiling lights and my table lamp. Make sure the fitting is correct for you when you buy! I've included two pictures. I knocked a star off because the white light on these is cold light almost clinical and not warm white. With my warm white downlight led's it looks cracking but I don't always like both on. The remotes are great as is the dimmer function but I miss warm white light and sadly as far as I'm aware you don't get warm white on these types of bulb.

love this second gen light bulb, works like a bulb should, 10 w is good bright light if waking up in the night i need to dim it or it is to bright! very cheep to run, unlike the first gen it remembers what col you put it on! when turned off at the wall. remote is very small a couple of inch long! battery in remote is on the expensive list but worth the price as i still have not had to buy one yet and still use the one i got over a year ago! 3 true col, so stays the same as dimm, all other col change as dim or brighten. i love this item, i have got 5 for others and am now getting the E14 ones for a friend, there cheeper to run better light and so good buy them if you haven't yet, remember the first gen has 4 rows of buttons and the second gen has 3 rows. phone controlled ones the first gen has less col and brightness ie "w" . also if you need , b22 is for room standard fitting some sellers from china mix up the screw fitting in first gen!

I bought these for a friend who wanted them and while staying I popped them in for them. We've got them in a living room. 2 overhead lights that are always that bit too bright and sterile feeling to have on much. These babies have changed that though! One controller does both lights-just point at the one you want to control. Also that means there's a spare controller in the drawer which is handy. Turn the lights on at the wall then use the remote to switch them on and off in the future. The dimmer function is great- the light over the tv can be lowered while keeping the other bright. Plain light is very white,so not ideal is you are after a warmer white,so worth noting. Colours are a total novelty but so fun. They can flash or smoothly, or just be on solid for a bit of a change in atmosphere. And with 2 in the same room it's a total mind melt if you don't sync them! Plus they are LED so efficiency rating is A++. What's not to love?! I'm buying a set for my place ASAP. Super jealous!

Great, fill the room with light, and have a plethora of colours. However are just a tad too dim for my liking. But thats a personal preference.

I am totally thrilled with these. The stylising of the remote is aestheticly slick and has an iPod esqu feel about it, its slimline and lightweight. I like the raised buttons, making it easy to change the colours in low light. The lights themselves are versatile and can bring whatever mood to your room that you are feeling at any given time. I used these for the first time last night with my girlfriend to create a romantic feel in the sitting room whilst we had dinner together and slurped wine. We found a coulor that was near identical to that of candlelight. Needless to say, it added to our ambience and we had a lovely night. 100% recommend and fabulous value.

I puchased 6 of these. In the main, they work well. You can turn them off and on from the remote, and they remember the last function used, but if you use the light switch sometimes they remember it, and sometimes not. One remote, controls 1 or more bulbs, just point it at the required bulb. NOTE re DROIDBOX, and presumably anything else controlled by an IR remote. This remote will also control the droidbox, so make sure if your light bulb is anywhere near it, you point it directly, and as close as possible to the bulb. Even with this little nuance, I still think they're excellent, as it isn't their fault.

These bulbs are fascinating! The bonus here is that I don't have to tune them into any Wi-Fi. Just insert them in your lamp, and you're away! Not sure if I'll need to use the timer but the remote control is really easy to get used to. Settings include flashing with different speeds (if you fancy a disco), a slow setting so you can have each colour smoothly changing to another, solid lights, you name it. The white light isn't warm but it's bright enough to read a book. And each colour is dimmable, so it's easy to set the mood you're wanting Each bulb came with a controller. I've put one controller away safely just in case one goes walkies. Now I have these bulbs, I can't see myself going back to basic bulbs.
