Frisk Tracedown A4, Pack of 5, Graphite

I use this Artist carbon paper a lot when preparing fairly technical projects to paint. The pack contains several sheets and they do last ages so value for money. Saves having to use tracing paper as it’s like using carbon paper to make a copy of something, doesn’t smudge and isn’t messy at all. The copied lines on the work are easily covered once painted over. Highly recommend this for any artist who wants to produce accurate copies of any design they want o paint.

I bought this product to trace some elements of watercolour illustrations. It is a good product, but my only issue is that when I brushed water onto the sheet, quite a lot of the lines disappeared; washed away with laying on the water. I now know to go over the lines with a graphite pencil after my initial tracing. It maybe that I was too gentle with my pressure during the tracing, but I enjoyed using it and will buying it again.

I've been using this product for years and have now started using the different coloured sheets as well. It is very sensitive so you have to be careful not to press down on other areas of the paper or you will get unwanted marks but it is so much easier to use than traditional tracing paper. Be warned though - it is water soluble so if you are doing a wash with watercolour first your traced image can disappear so I just use a 2B pencil to go around the important lines again before using water.

It works well and does what it says. BUT if you copy image onto watercolour paper, then apply a coloured wash over it, the drawing fades out and you lose some of the details. For watercolour, best to use a graphite pencil.

It’s a good product, but about 5 times more expensive than when I last bought it.

Needed this to transfer sketches to a watercolour block. Easily erased and easy to use. Also bought the A3 one for bigger paper. You can reuse these a lot as well so while they are expensive they are good value for money.

Marks are easily erased. This was a replacement for a previous paper from different manufacturer that claimed to be erasable but it was not.
