Very safe and durable pad saw, great rubber grip to prevent slips, a great addition to cut in this awkward position or situations that occur when least expected. Amazing value for money given quality and features.

Great. Works well. Sturdy blade, sharp teeth. Leaves a good edge. Good locking mechanism for the blade. Makes cutting out socket box holes a breeze!

I forgot my old backpack with tools on the bus and someone stole it. So I buy new tools. I bought the previous saw about 6 years ago of the same brand. It seems to me that that saw was of better quality and especially the metal. But since I need this tool occasionally, I think it will serve me for some time.

I needed a Jab (pad?) saw to help me fit a loft hatch/ladder at my in laws' house. As usual I read the reviews and decided the Fatmax saw fitted the bill. The saw arrived in a retail hanging pack with the blade protected under a clear plastic cover and with a cable tie holding the handle onto the thick card (you'll need a pair of cutters to get this off). The saw blade folds into the handle when you press the big red button so it can be safely put into your tool box or a trouser pocket. When you open the blade there is a cut-out in the back of the blade so you can easily get it out of the handle. The blade locks in three different positions but I only needed the fully open one for the task in hand. The triple cut teeth cut on both the push and the pull stroke and rapidly eat through plasterboard. I'd done the same job a couple of years ago in my Victorian era house and I'm not sure that I'd have wanted to use this kind of saw on a lath and plaster ceiling but it made this latest job relatively easy.

Very effective for sawing off the old woody stem of my rose to allow to new growth on newer stems. The stem was probably about 2 inches thick and still took a bit of hard work while sawing but was done within a few minutes (with breaks haha). I like that it packs away into the handle, both for safety and the fact it makes it much more compact. I hope that it will stand the test of time for various other household and garden tasks, and of course will update this review if it doesn’t!
