Well wasn’t sure about this clock for the price, but after ordering and it arriving next day I was pleasantly surprised. On removing it from the box I found it to be well packaged, after fitting a battery away it went.It’s not a ticking clock, nice and quiet and looks great. Overall well happy with it.

Exactly as I hoped it would be - not too big - no ticking - looks good. I'm pleased with this clock.Revised review:Bought in May and returned in August. Suddenly the sweep hand started ticking it's way around the face of the clock. More annoying than a regular tick as it's a constant stream of ticks. Returned for exchange. Will wait and see how the new one goes. Nice looking clock, hopefully it keeps up the good silent work.The instruction paper does clearly state that this is a radio controlled clock - it isn't, so not certain why the correct information can't be sent out with the clock.2nd Revised Review - SUNDAY 12th August: Just requested a return on this clock. One night and it's making more noise than the original one. I am very disappointed as I believed it was exactly what I needed. So that's two of them to go back tomorrow. I can't believe that only two out of all the stock are making a noise. I don't mind a ticking clock, but if I buy one that's alleged to be silent then it's what I expect to receive. Amazon have been excellent with regards this and no problem with returning them for full refund. No clock for now, not until I can find a genuinely quiet one.

I had bought a few supposedly 'silent' wall clocks, only to find that they had a noticable whirring noise in a silent room. I am a very light sleeper and find this very irritating, but love the look of a traditional clock with hands. After reading some reviews, I took a chance on this clock and found, to my delight, that it is virtually silent. If you listen right up close and press ear against the clock then you can hear a noise. However, once wall mounted the clock was not audible to me over a few metres away, and I have very sensitive hearing. Only two downsides are that the clock, which once retailed at only £12-15, is now hard to get hold of so the price has gone up. Hopefully Unity will start production again? Secondly, the clock size is a bit smaller than average wall clocks. But a worthwhile compromise for me if the smaller arms keep the noise down.
